Fair?

My cousin lost my 8 gig iPod nano + an engrave on the back which is about 250.
He buys a refurbished xbox 360 thats 169+a 17 dollar game.
Adds up to 203.
He calls the house and says don't touch my 360.
First I didn't even know he had bought a 360 second I don't give a shit about xbox.
Well unfortunately I didn't actually pick up the phone, my cousin did and she came in the room and said he said not to touch his xbox.

So when he gets home should I remind him he lost my 250 dallor iPod and he needs to pay me back
or should I just let it go and let him play freely with his xbox?
