You might have remembered the root pass, but you are trying to connect to 127.0.0.1 which is Windows and Windows won't accept the root user :P
but im trying to do that without net
anyway this is the new prob.

with net i get connection error :( i mean with centos ip !! i'm sure i remember the ip too :p i wrote it down
It might have changed. Type "ifconfig" in a centos terminal to find out what the current one is.
sorry for being annoying but this thing hate me i guess

i'm doing like chumpy say :P but cant resolve it
Putty refuse to connect too :(
Are you definitely trying to connect to 192.168.1.5 and not 127.0.0.1 like in your screenshot. Also, can you ping centos?
ping from windows to vmware+centos => (request time out)x4 , sent = 4 , received= 0 , lost = 4
ping from centos to window => network is unreachable
Something is not correct in your vmware networking settings Make sure you are using bridged networking. I usually recommend setting a static IP for centos too, mine is set liek this:
My windows IP is 192.168.0.15 and my netmask is 255.255.255.0 (you can find yours using 'ipconfig /all' in windows). My cabal servers start at 192.168.0.20 and use the same netmask and same DNS servers as my windows.
i follow video guide :| i've been watch it like 10~15 times
If you can't ping centos then something isn't correct. Hopefully you have not just used the IP addresses shown in the guide as some people have done, you need to use your own IP and netmask.
well yeah! but my ip is similar to guides only net mask end with 252 not 0
and where my sshd have to be in ??
window or centos :-/
Ssh only need to be enabled on centos but you should be able to ping centos even if it is off so ssh is not the problem. Are you definitely using bridged networking, and do both have the same gateway setting?
just like this ?

bump up fo' help
How do you know what you user and password is and when do you set this part up? im having trouble with this part, and im sure i set my centos ip to 192.168.2.88 which i cant ping, and in centos when i open terminal and type in "ifconfig" it says [Cabal@cabalserver ~]$ ifconfig bash: ifconfig: command not found, am i doing something wrong?
you got to set it up from begin :| and remember your root pass , user pass (hint - write them in a note)
yeah i remember it, i made it simple but yet i still cant get in, and for the centos ip would it be possible to use the hamachi ip? even tho it has no gateway? becuz my ip isnt a stable ip, it changes even tho the 192.168.2 is always the same its just the last number changes, so would i use my hamachi ip that has no gateway or i use my changing ip with the gateway?
any1 ?
the probz is resolved.
i found out that bcz im using dynamic IP !!! (i think the probz is same as killer03)
1 - to use hamachi (i hate hamachi so i tried other way)
2 - Create a loopback connection (offline mod of course) give it an IP
