i went to centos website and there's so many mirrors but i cant find where to DL it..

can someone help me

You can just go to centos.org, click Downloads at the top and it will find lots of mirrors near you. This is as deep as i can go before it selects mirrors near me which will probably be slow for you. Just pick one near the top.

It is linux as the server files run on linux. If you don't want to install linux on a machine (you will need windows too) then you must install it in vmware. Check out the centos/vmware guide in my sig or use dor's ready made virtual machine, it will probably save you a ton of hassle.
