Racism - the Kevin Andrews view.
This will most probably be a hot topic in terms of peoples views, so please show maturity if you're going to post to prevent a flame-war, not sure that this is a debate or not, more of an opinion so sorry if it's in the wrong section :P:
I'm a pretty laid back person, I am a bit of raciest at times and I have no problem admitting that, my views is that "if a mouse is born in a stable then you don't call it a horse", that's my perspective, again, I don't paint everyone with the same brush, I know that not every 'black' person will turn out to be a murderer or an Asian turn out to be a Mexican being a drug runner. Again, I know 100% that people will be against me for that, but it's my views,
In recent months I have only agreed with one person in politics and that man is Kevin Andrews, I think that if a criminal crime is committed by a person who has come to a country to live in, he or she should be persecuted and dealt with the consequences under the legal system that he/she committed the criminal offence in and after he/she has been freed from jail or another means of punishment such as community service, house arrest and so on, he/she should be sent back to country in which he/she came from in the first place.
I have only briefly followed the story with Kevin Andrews but the guts of it is that, the Australian government is limiting the amount of Sudanese immigrants who are allowed to come into the country (Australia), Kevin Andrews has been attack by nearly all the forms of media such as TV, newspapers, radio and so on, but I tend to agree him to an extent, I was listening to talk back radio in the morning since I like hot topics in the media, and I was surprised to hear that this radio station agreed with him aswell, and now hear I am wanting your views on why or why not this is right/wrong, I would firstly ask you to read the radio transcript as it explains it better then I can.

Re: Racism - the Kevin Andrews view.
I don't think it's racist to want to expel immigrants who break the law. Disliking people from another country is called xenophobia not racism.
Re: Racism - the Kevin Andrews view.
Never heard of it, the bit that I don't like about the whole Kevin Andrews views is the media, they're attacking him for something that (imo) should be dealt with the way his doing it, and of course the media plays a huge role in shaping the audiences views and then the audience alot of the time jumps on the media bandwagon, I suppose if you're in the UK you don't really hear much of it or any at all, but in Australia it was huge.
