I was thinking about this today.
On Family Guy, can they hear Stewie? o_O
I think Brian can, but no one else?

Lois has responded when Stewie has talked to her before, so I would assume so.
But she just said things like "That's not nice", and along those lines.

Yeah, thats what Kenny and I said also.
Maybe it's meant to be a mystery.

How is it a mystery if we just solved it?

Cause sometimes he says "Listen to me women"
and she doesn't respond.

The main family can hear Stewie, but they ignore him time-to-time. Brain is the main character that pay attention to his speaking. Cleverland, Quarmire, and Joe can hear him too, but just barely. Hope that answer your question. : O

brian and characters that arent important to the main story of the show can hear him. everyone else can only hear the gist of what he is saying.

But yeah, the episode was when brian and stewie go Out of Character, and they are like "I don't think they can understand you since they are in the extended cast", or something along those lines.

I think they don't listen to him..
I never hear them talk back to him on most episodes
Except maybe Louis and Brian.
