[HELP] Build Requirements?
OK, I've laid my hands on a copy of VS2008, is there anything else needed to build this?
I would like to try building both revs from the source, so dependencies for both would be appreciated.
Hopefully it'll actually get me inspired to learn some coding skills ^^
Thanks,

U'll need .NET Framework 3.5. Tho, if u have the server up and running it means u already gotz it so fire up and go.

Thanks. I do indeed have .net 3.5 installed on my server VM, although I am less than happy with the way my VM runs after installing it (now takes FOREVER to log in, generates a number of error events during login).
Having seen .net 3.5's performance in a VM I am definitely loathe to try it on my main install, but if it's going to be required for the build process I might want to just "suck it up" and deal.
Thanks for the help,

Hmm, I'm running a plain WinXP Pro SP3 on my development laptop with MS SQL 2008, Visual Studio 2005 and 2008 plus the .NETfw 3.5, the general XNA stuff and I can't say the 3.5 caused any major damage to the system. What VM are you running?

VMWare 6.5, winXP 32-bit SP2 + patches, and that's about it.
I think it just needs a clean re-install of XP and maybe I'll try SP3 as well. I just stick with sp2 and any other misc patches that are available because I read of a number of stability problems on AMD64 platform (both 32 and 64 bit versions affected).
Anyways, today's gaming day for me, so I probably won't get around to doing anything until the week-end. This is just a hobby for me, and I'd more than likely never open a server for public use. But if I can learn somethign and perhapse contribute a bit along the way that would be great.
