Cod4- Modern Warfare OR Cod5- World At War?

Wich one do you think is better and why? [PS3+PS2+XBOX360]

In my opinion.
I like Cod4 for the game play and online play, no lag and pritty fast farward kind of game. BUT i also like CoD5 for its features. speacialy tanks and wepons. Also the DOGS and ARTILARY are pritty tight. they changed alot. i dont see a big difference between them but still, CoD4 is better even without the features. World War II sucks. modern warefare RULZ! it would be good if they actuly did a masive update on CoD4 for more perks and stuff.

I've never played COD 4.
But I'm playing COD 5 and its so boring having to play WWII AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

cod 4 is in the present and cod5 in past but it is better in graphics and in the difficulty

Definetly CoD:Modern Warfare, simply because the game was coded better. CoD5 is one of the most glitchiest games I have ever played. People are killing each other in a couple of shots by shooting their feet

I would rather play in modern warfare, so cod4 is my answer :)

Cod4...Cod5 came out so fast that it was obvious they used the same shit as in Cod 4, except a different story /time.
Never bothered to get Cod 5, but I did play Cod 4 thoroughly and can definitely say that it was one of my fav games by far.

Played both but right now I am playing CoD5 on comp and its fucking fun as hell.

I like CoD 4 best. CoD 5 isn't worth it imo.

I enjoyed both. I had more fun with Call of Duty : Modern Warfare, over Call of Duty : World at War.
After playing CoD:WaW, the ranking is too difficult. CoD:4 has better guns and customization. Even though all my friends play CoD:WaW, I'll be sticking with CoD:4. Overall better, imo.

So let's get this straight. You enjoyed CoD5 more then CoD4 because you got to fight zombies. -.-

So if you got to fight zombies in Modern Warfare you'd like that game more?

I played COD 4 and COD 5.
I think if you cant decide buy both :P if u have the money but i would say COD 5.
If COD 4 had zombies it would be to easy because the gun on COD 4 are very overrated and strong

Cod 4 is better than cod 5 exceptt for the zombies! :laugh:

Infinity Ward could just make the zombies a tad bit tougher..

but imo 4 is a really good game. :D

All i like on cod5 is the campaign but cod4 is just better of them both. Multiplayer 10x better and campaign was also good, The only reason i got COD5 is because i got the acheivements in cod4.

u have not played on a 360 they are the best ps3s are crap there are hardly no games on ps3 only racing and then the good games on ps3 are on 360 most of them

Compare some things to define your favourite...
There is no "best" or "worst" cod...there's only a diffrence in the type of game you like most.

Cod4 = Modern Warfare aka present
Cod5 = WO2 (again)

This is the first thing u look at, if u hate WO2, your choice is easy.


A few points i used to compare the games

Campaign Difficulty Easy Intermediate
Rank System Easy to hack Easy to bypass
Graphics OK Great
Bugs Online Few LOTS
Amount of hackers Many 90% of all players
Single Player Campaign Easy Hard(er)


I personally prefer Cod4 cus it has less bugs online...but imo..they both failed.
Cod4 was promised to be a game that would change the meaning of "First person shooter"...but in the end it was just a new version of CoD with a Rank system added that is stored on your own freaking pc, so format your pc and all your ranks, weapons, perks etc are gone.

Cod5 was supposed to be even better than cod4 (they learned from the mistakes they said) but in the end it looked more like Cod4 with enhanced graphics and a new name. The bugs multiplied by 25 and the rank system once again failed since its stored on your own pc AGAIN.

If you want to play a FPS game that will track your stats / ranks forever, stop playing CoD and move to Battlefield series (EA DOES know how to make a rank system work)
If you play it cus you like the gameplay, pick Cod4 or Cod5 based on the style of the game (Present or WO2)


My own opinion...

I have both Cod4 and Cod5. They were fun for a few weeks but after a while it gets boring and they're basically just another FPS, except for the fact that Cod4 is special cus its finally not a WO2 game.

In my opinion...cod5 failed.

CoD - World at War is better then CoD4 - Modern Warfare due to the fact you can't spray an RPD at level 1 (100 bullets aswell)

CoD - World at War is alot harder and is 10x funner then CoD4 - i must admit CoD4 is a fantastic game but I can't let go of my Bolt Action Rifles on Downlfall

I would have to agree with sutsurikeru because i mean they are both great games but in the it comes down to ones personal opinion so if u like FPS, just get both :P
But COD5 ( in my Opinion) is better than COD 4 due to the fact that is WWII and the Russian campaign is insanely awesome.

Like i said, it depends on ones opinion so i say
COD 5 FTW!!!!

COD 4, I like modern warfare more than a game where you just get betty'ed and sniped.
