No wonder the sequels to The Matrix sucked....

Stewart, a New Yorker who has resided in Salt Lake City for the past five years, will recover damages from the films, The Matrix I, II and III, as well as The Terminator and its sequels. She will soon receive one of the biggest payoffs in the history of Hollywood, as the gross receipts of both films and their sequels total over 2.5 billion dollars.


Pretty much the link above tells about how a lady name Sophia Stewart claimed her ideas for the Matrix and the Terminator were stolen and now she's going to rake in the big bucks. Why this isn't all over the news? Sophia claims:

"The reason you have not seen any of this in the media is because Warner Brothers parent company is AOL-Time Warner... this GIANT owns 95 percent of the media... let me give you a clue as to what they own in the media business... New York Times papers/magazines, LA Times papers/magazines, People Magazine, CNN news, Extra, Celebrity Justice, Entertainment Tonight, HBO, New Line Cinema, Dreamworks, Newsweek, Village Roadshow... many, many more!... They are not going to report on themselves. They have been surpressing my case for years..."

So what do you guys think about this? I always thought the Wachowski Brothers were hacks after destroying one of my favorite movies of all time with 2 movies that IMO seemed like no real plan was made except how to a)make more money and b)make morpheus a backseat character to Will Smith's wife.

BTW, it seems most people don't believe the lady, at least on the internet. I'm not so sure, but as I said, it would make sense to me as I thought the sequels were subpar.

I agree with what you said Becky regarding the sequals to the matrix, after watching them a second time the dialog is just AWFUL, it's such a poor attempt to be a 'smart ass' that its rather pathetic, and that whole 'key maker' concept of the little chinese man with big glasses, was absolutely rediculous, as was that really pale white man sitting in a room of screens with NOTHING TO EAT, where the hell does he get a bite to eat? there was no fridge in there, he must of been bored as fuck, yet he still managed to produce a lit of 'big' words which were seemingly 'wow', but were infact unnecessary bullshit. As for terminator 3, terminator 2 is one of my favorite films of all time, i think it's my most ever WATCHED film, and yet out comes terminator 3 which claims that terminator 2 was all rather pointless, arnolds loveable terminator was infact one of many, john connor the hero kid has turned into a fucking pussy, who gets wasted in fucking pet shops, and some hoe called 'kate bruster' gets thrown into the cake mix like some unwanted and unnecessary peice of excrement. As for the female terminator with model good looks, WHAT THE FUCK WERE YOU THINKING? she wasn't menacing, she was simply gorgeous, but thats about IT!! the result was a rather POINTLESS film which corrupted the whole franchise, and left it BANG WIDE OPEN for a sequal which will unlikely ever be made, and if it does, the man behind the whole franchise, Mr Arnie turned political, won't be making an appearence.

So i say 'Kudos' to all you fat cats who couldn't wait to rake in on something you never should of laid your big fat grubby hands on.

I like first ant third disliked second matrix for sure Terminator is old so a lot people dislike it ..

The 2nd and 3rd movies shud have just been edited down (AKA less clever philosophical stuff, I mean 95% of the audience wouldnt even notice it was there in the 1st place anyway) & stuck together into one film.

I just think the ending of the Matrix was fine enough. I wasn't so hip on the whole "Flying away like Superman thing" at the end, but besides that, what a great end to a great movie.

Then they had to make some more cash >.< Which of course any of us would've done in that position (duh) but jeeez TRY to think of a better finish and especially how to handle the characters. Like I said, they turned Morpheus into NOTHING. He was super cool in the first one, then he just got pushed to the back. Being that he was my fave character *lawrence fishburne is a great actor* I guess I'm bias, but still, what a sucky thing to do to such a powerful, well played character.

Let me just say that I loved the fighting scenes, it was just the overall story I didn't like. So I DID like some of it, don't get me wrong.. just not the story..

Seems Gloria Poster(Oracle) didnt whanted to cast in third matrix Wonder real reason for that coz in my eyes she acted great as Oracle ...

She actually died :( that's why she wasn't in there.

The first movie was awesome, the second was ok, the third was a huge waste of time and money, god that movie was bad, hell i can't even call it a movie, it was 99,9% computer animated crap and well the rest were the end credits.

i loved the fighting in all of it :D

You know what the worst thing about it is, even though it's so damn bad, everyone is still going to watch it, i knew it was bad, but hey i was like everyone else, how bad can it be, sure might not be as good as before, but surely it's still better then your average Swarzchenegger movie, but i wish that was true, yes it's that bad, it's just plain awfull.

It's like if they would screw up bad with Star Wars 3, thing is that everyone is still going to watch it, they could make it as bad as they want, they could let the script be written by some 12 year old Star Wars nerd, and ask the cast of some crappy soap to play in it, and people would still go to watch it.

It's a damn rip off, and a damn shame, so sure the second wasn't as good as the first, fact is we didn't expected it to be better, we all know that like 90% of the time that the first movie is the best, but still, they could of at least do only a small part of the movie computer animated, and mostly work on the storyline, and have cool fight scenes with everybody, but except for 1 scene i'd say they were all just plain shit.
