How to make skip update harder

I hate that people are trying to block skip update. This a easy way to make it harder to to.

You will need a hex editor:
1-Open gunzlaucher.exe with hex ediotor.
2- press ctrl+f en typ in ".ini"
you will found something like this:

[APP] Set alpha mode....@TEST_LAUNCH....@SKIP_UPDATE....Gunzlauncher.ini

3-Edit the name to make it harder.
Sample:

[APP] Set alpha mode....@TEST_LAUNCH....@SKIP_HIHELL....Gunziscooler.ini

4- Now just create a gunziscooler.ini and place @skip_HIHELL in it. And it will not auto update.

Much people don't have a hex edioter. They are not able to see the name of the .ini.
This will make auto update much harder.

You can also edit text.
Just search the string and search.

Now you can edit is to

Now if you save it and start the text stnad's there.

You dont explain. I have Bypass skip update on ur client XD. You say people can't auto update any more.
But its worked. Name of his gunzlauncher.ini "eeleownagers.ini".

i dont know shit about launcher also

Won't stop anything. If I found your serialkey, I can skip the update. Since I always use my own edited launcher.

Yea you are right. But most people don't know how to find serial key.:laugh:

just remove the ini from being usable on the launcher, but even with that, one simple edit will have it bypassed, a simple change of a cmp to a mov...

There must be some way to make sure the runnable only starts with 1 specific launcher. THen you can just take the @Skip_Update commands and stuff out of it. No problems anymore.

But this 'll be kinda hard i think

You could make GunZ open another launcher again, if updates were skipped.
