[Help] Neoncube

Well My problem with Neoncube is that when I try to add updates to the server. It doesnt work. Like When the Neoncube patchs and when you go online you cant see the new updates. The last 3/4 Updates didnt work. This is How the last 3/4 Patchlist looked like

115 VFS 3DDATA\STB\LIST_SELL_S.STL*

That was the last 3 Patchs I added And they dont patch so the other players cannot see it. Also All the Files that are going to patch is in RAR Format. Those patchs up there is for adding items.

Steps What I Did:
1. Make The Website
2. Bring the Website Folder TO my Desktop
3. Set up the Website
4. Make a Folder Named patch
5. Make a patchlist in txt format
6. Did the Patchlist like above (The First 9 Patchs Worked for some Reason)
7. Got all the Patchs in rar format in the patch folder.
8. Launch the Website.
9. Sees if it works (Works for Patch 1-9)

Anyone want to help me?

did it delete the 3 files from the VFS?
if it did then none of your NPCs or monsters or shops will work at all.

If they still work (you actually have monsters in your client) then you can be fairly sure that the STBs\STL were not deleted from the client.

What output did neoncube give you when you patched? Did it tell you that the patch was complete at revision 115?

What value is currently held in neoncube.file? is it 115?

Just a few diagnostic ideas

I work with her and the problem is that the patches we add to the game can't be seen by the other players unless they directly implement them on their vfs. The patches do download but nothing happens... And the output always finishes with the last patch. Which in this case is 116

could you post a link to one of your patches so that i can download it and check the structure?

or possibly upload one of them.

Yea, something similar happened to me. I extracted the NPC stuff from jRose and i patched it, and since some of the NPC there are new, they will be automatically added and the stuff thats already in there WONT be overrided. but inorder to have all the new npc and stuff i deleted the stuff.

Thats how i did it, but for some reason, when i started the game, i was missing like a SHITLOAD of mobs from jrose and i donno whats wrong. help please.

you missed their ZMD and ZMS files :) you didnt import their texture,bones and stuff

mobs require a lot of files

It is not as simple as you seem to think.

You need to edit (not just copy over)
3ddata/NPC/list_npc.chr
3ddata/STB/list_npc.stb
3ddata/STB/list_npc_s.stl
if you just copy these files they will almost certainly fail utterly since all teh bounding boxes and stuff in the CHR use a completely different set of coordinates than NA Rose
If you are putting the mobs into an irose server then you also have to completely rebuild your STBs since they use a totally different format

then you need to import all the relevant files from
3ddata/NPC/(animal,npc,etc or plant)
these are your meshes and textures

3ddata/Motion/npc/(pick a sub directory. there are loads)
these are your animations and bones

I could upload the structure but the thing we wanted to update was the npc sell list which i tested by directly inserting them into my data and it worked perfectly, so i don't really see why we would need to add the zms' or the zsc's, but i'll give you the patch links if i can... :laugh:

No you don't need ZMS or ZSC for your particular problem. The last few posts have been related to Redxagon's question

As for your issue.
As i said above, it looks like neoncube is working fine but is dumping the files into the wrong place.
Please upload or attach one of your rar patches so that i can take a look at it's structure.
I suspect you may have an error in the way the patch is made and i would like to rule that out as a possible cause before moving on.
