Second you can setup a server on a network just fine an it shouldn't lag at all as the network is 1000mb :)
Just add a server list using your local IP an port an everyone within your network can connect :)

Lag simpley can't occure in a lan, because it simply has the highest transfer rate possible on a network.
Freezes can occure, in that case run Task manager=>Processes=>(rightclick on mainserver.exe)=>Priority=>High
nah i dont have freezes my only problems are lags , well i see i cant solve that problem -.- thank you both

ye u can.. go to Task Manager.. then Processes ... right click on Mainsvrt... then do the priorit
I have run 60+ people on a server hosted on a 8m line from AOL lol xD didn't hear them moaning of lags..
KalmaX V1 was home hosted haha.. it was hitting 60+ an peak 90 for my first ever server it handled ok for 8m.

Root servers are always the best option but if this is your first I recon you should find a home hoster with a good speed ISP there is no point wasting money on root.. test first find out if people like your work.
Oo max i was running es from home from 7 months and only lag they had was when i was downloading (mostly porn xP) but that was on a speed of 572 upload with bulldog broardband so there

good old days o.O man it feels like yesterday >.< me wakeing up seeing the online members had gone up from 80 to 100 o.o.haveing to use kalhackit becuse someone was useing the crash bug and dealing with kalHACKkit users 1hh. no way real way to ban people. when my data file of my db was 300mg and the log file was 200 gig o.o. now the datas 20 gig >.< and log is 3gig lol. yea man the good old days
omg i remember thos good old days when i think i had like 200gb error log? spending numbers of hrs working none stop.
Well my projects always died, not able to aford root server kind of killed the idea but i keep trying this my 6th server now but its going slow, not much more to do just I dont think I got it anymore.. sure i can make a good server but running it, i duno lol
