Imo MGS4 destroy Halo 3 hands down due to the fact unlike halo 3 MGS4 has Blue Ray + Hardly any glitches online like Halo 3 while halo 3 doesn't have SOP online like MGS4 but all in all imo MGS4 is still better and people who don't know what MGS4 is it's Metal Gear Solid 4 Guns of the Patroits
How does the fact that MGS4 is on a Blu-ray disc, make it a "better" game than Halo 3 ? :mellow:

I've never been fond of ANY of the Metal Gear Solid games (from the first one to the most recent), quite frankly they have just bored me.
Personally, I find Halo a much, much better game than ALL of the Metal Gear Solid games. Halo has great visuals, effects, etc. AMAZING story in my oppinion (moreso if you read the books, and history behind it all). Yes, multiplayer DOES have bugs, which Bungie does quite a good job on fixing quickly. I don't really see much of a way (or any significant way at least) that MGS4's multiplayer comes anywhere close to being better than Halo's. Halo's moneymaker IS it's multiplayer; Bungie puts much time and effort into the multiplayer alone.
Now, i'm not some 12-year-old massive Halo fanboy, ranting on about how NO game is better than Halo... There ARE plenty; but yes, Halo IS probobly my favourite game. So don't start flaming me about how much i'm a little Halo-obssessed-fanboy xD:tongue:
You sir, are wrong and right. The better of the two is a matter of opinion. In my personal opinion Halo 3 is the better of two. MGS4 is a PS3 exclusive, which is good for the PS3. But Sony's Blu-Ray technology is dodgy. It requires the game data to be loaded onto the disc three times just to make sure it's been written properly, and if you scratch the disc then you're screwed as Blu-Ray discs can only be layered once, a disadvantage to those who are careless with their property.
Halo 3 is vastly more successful than MGS4 simply because the game is preferred by more people who have played the game since Halo: Combat Evolved. The game doesn't require as much consideration as MGS4 if you're the kind of person who chooses stealth over full-on combat. Halo is simply the case of waltzng in and shooting, with some strategic and stealthy options like finding a good sniper spot and sniping. And of course people just favour Halo for their own personal reason, mines being it's a thoroughly enjoyable game.
In single player it's not fantastic, online play is better. The single player of MGS4 is good, I used to have the game before I sold it as I chose not to play it anymore. I never did get to play online, so I can't criticise that. All in all there is no better game, it's just a matter of opinion.
Sion your not a fanboy compared to my friends trust me. They're obsessed but they don't like the glitches in Halo 3 which won't be repaired very fast since bungie's staff is only like 10people after they cut from Microsoft
