My friend's finger... [WARNING: gruesome]

Well, the other day in metal shop class, it was just like any other day. While me and my friend were cutting an H out for a sign, he accidentally left his finger underneath the base and sliced the tip off. While he ran to the teacher, there was blood squirting on one.

My heart goes out to this guy, cause he definitely has some balls. This picture was taken today. On the day it happened, our shop teacher took the chopped off part, put it in some ice, and took it to the hospital so it could be sewed back on.

Pretty fucked up stuff.

Man this reminds me of the time when I was in CDT (Craft and Design Technology, the Scottish variant to metal work and wood work classes) and my friend went and filed the top of his finger off.

The doctor said he should be back to normal in 2-4 weeks. Pretty fast considering that the bone got sliced through also.

I once had half my finger hanging just from my skin.. it got caught between a door when my brother slammed it... took months to heal, even now my skin under my finger nail is a bit weird (normally attached skin to your nail is round-ish, mine has a weird shape there :P)
Btw that was when i was 5, i remember that when we went to class we would have to partner up and hold another persons hand, that i would only let 1 friend hold it because he was the only 1 i trusted. ;)
