Re: Im not sure about default gateway...
Is your vmware networking set to NAT or Bridged? It looks like your centos has picked up a WAN IP instead of a LAN one so it should be the one on the ppp adapter and NAT.
Re: Im not sure about default gateway...
I'm not really sure on this one, it's a fairly unusual setup and i bet the cause is the same as the other mysterious networking issues that get reported. I'm half convinced it is a DHCP problem but until i get my internet access back and try testing a few myself it is a very tricky one to pin down.
I know the node type being "unknown" is not good. Once case is below and if you google "node type is unknown" you will find a few other solutions/reasons.

OK... I've changed to hybrid. This is how to... Need to go to regedit then HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\Netbt\Parameters\ and add a DWORD Value (that i've done) and call it DhcpNodeType in value write 00000008. And it will change. But... i still cant see my default Gateway. there are screen:

OK sorry for mistake... after another PC restart node changed again to unknown
And i turned on a "proxy enable"
And mine Local Area Connection in taskbar is writing "Limited or no-connectivity" Maybe there is problem or not?
Re: Im not sure about default gateway...
Yes that is a problem. If the ppp adaptor is supplying your internet what is plugged into your ethernet (network) port?

[mod]do not double post, use edit[/mod]
Re: Im not sure about default gateway...
Service pack 3 won't be anything to do with it (i have SP3 too). What i don't understand is why you have an ethernet cable without a lan or a cable provider. I'm tempted to say ignore the ethernet completely and follow the IP) address in the PPP adapter, set your VMWare networking to "NAT" and see what the VMWare DHCP server gives to centos in terms of ip/netmask and gateway. I think that is the best plan.
Re: Im not sure about default gateway...
Ok i will try it :)
Here what i've got:
