CFlyff Server

Okay Guys.

I wanted to know what do you think about a Cflyff Server being in development?
CFlyff doesn't use Game Guard but has encrypted packets ( thanks adidishen for informing me)
I know it would be a hard task but I wanted to at least brainstorm, get everyone's opinion on whether
it should be done or not, recruit a team of developers and start making some plans.

You don't want to rush into things to early, alteriams hasn't even launched how do we know people are going to join the ms server including flyff?

No, I'm not making the MS server, I'm more of like the Handy Man for my friend, I don't even play Maple
To be honest, and i'm not recruiting for a Flyff server. I want the community's opinion on if I should start
to make an attempt to make a CFlyff emulator.

let me say this. I have played this version. I was very impressed with it, and in my opinion, should be FlyFF 2. If you can crack the encryption on the packets. I will be able to devote time to developing a server. Anyone who has played the official cFlyFF knows that almost everything is redone, characters, NPCs, maps, and mobs.

I only wish I had a couple hundred grand to buy the system from Gala to make my own version of it.

also ani decoompressers are easy to find although I guess you mean files within


although the other files are ify I thing ip is controlled within the exe but im down one hex editor I dont have an official one so my trial ran out :<

gala doesnt own CFlyFF and i doubt the official server is more than 40k

cflyff 2 owns all ^^

cflyff looks really nice and clean a pserver would be awsome

The decrypting would be hell though =P

actually the MS decryption wasn't that hard for me. I highly doubt it would be that bad. Anyone with crypt skills can probably do it.

glaphan how does one learn how to unpack a fle? im intrested to know ....


and btw aeon soft owns all the flyff's ...

and @ Glaphan why would you make a server of that game ive tried it it sucks I ask other people about it they say it sucks.... ive hearn nothing but bad about it since it wa released....


although I may be wrong alot of games dont get their spark till you havelayed a billion hours .....

also as for makeing files of it il see if I can collect packets after im ungrownded I think il play cfllyff a bit (I transfered cflyff's client via 4 gig flash drive from my moms computer to my computer)

ohh and once the files are unpacked and stuff I can translate in game windows and the patcher


also we need to find out cFlyff's cluster sysrem although since they give us a linke shouldnt be too hard...

The .WDF files that CFlyff uses to store its 3D data, music, etc. don't look to be compressed, so it can't be too hard to figure out their format. If the 3D data in cFlyff uses the same file formats as eFlyff (.o3d for example) then it would be much easier to just bring over data (items, monsters, pets, etc) from cFlyff into eFlyff rather than start a whole new server project for CFlyff.

Of course, this still wouldn't bring the hard-coded stuff over... Like the backflipping onto your board/broom.
