Remaking a Flyff Server (World Server)
Hi! I'm going to remake a Flyff server using WPE, and a large wealth of C# Experience. (World Server)
Basically, All I really have to do, is copy the Calli schema, and make a non-Virus world server that doesn't crash. All you need is the rest of the server for the Calli Server Login/Char servers, and world data.
Also, The world server will come with a UI Fully adjustable server restarter. (Already Completed) [32 or 64-bit]
Using:
~MySql
~SocketServer
I'm using C#, and will leave source code on all of my server revisions.
I hope you guys enjoy when it's out!
Advantages:
~No Server Crashes! (Anti-Crash System)
~Multi-Thread (Individually makes packets for clients, and loads all data at the same time)
~UI (Graphic User Interface to display users online, and other data)
~Full Logging System, and Hacker Prevention (May be turned off :thumbup1:)
~A lot more GM Commands, such as '.ban' :ott1:
Disadvantages:
~Compiling on 64-bit comp, so it will be 64-bit, but I will find a way around this.
Also, for Vista 64-bit, I've found that 32-bit applications seem to fail, and screw up a lot, causing you to have to reinstall them. So I will compile a 32-bit, and a 64-bit.
And for Calli, I'm disappointed that he would put back-doors, and viruses into the V2-V3 servers. He is such a great guy...Right? *cough* Hacker.

Sir, not to be mean, but this is a worthless post, why not make something and then post this before just posting when the progress is 0%?

Because. It will help the flyff server-wanting community, and also, I've already had the base set up, so it's around 10% complete.

Rev 1 was stolen from him and released without his permission. The whole purpose of putting backdoors / trojans or w.e in rev 2 and 3 was a safety precaution in case they got leaked again. And they did end up being leaked.
There's no reason to be disappointed about anything. He got screwed over so he made sure if someone wanted to again he would have back-up. He has more than enough reason to be mad about his shit being leaked and more than enough reason to put trojans and backdoors in his files. They are his after.

I am a senior c# programmer, but mainly forms/crud programs and dlls, using mysql as database or mssql (I prefere mysql) ^^ I will love to learn mmorpg programming will check the sources to learn from it, I dont play flyff myself but again, my interest is to learn about mmorpg programming =)
You can set up a svn, I wish to read your code from the beginning of the server proyect =)
BTW, you can compile in 32 bits in c# if you are runing a 64bits OS

sounds nice if you can do a rush project and get it out be4 other servers are done people may just use it due to they are comfortable with caali files and know them but just a thought and if you get it out sooner than later it would make caali files legal on rage agian

Why stick to caali's files? When flyff v13 or v14 come out, it's entirely possible that the caali login server won't even work. By sticking to caali's structure you're already limiting yourself to v11/v12.
And by the way, the world server isn't the only one full of backdoors.
I think you should just contribute to Osaflyff instead.

Caali files are, if Im not wrong, v9.
"WTF? I saw servers running v13!!!! you liee!"
They say they are a v13 server, but they are v9 servers, if they were v13, they would have lord system from v12, slots into weapons, the new cards, etc.
People just add vX mobs and maps and call it vX, so they are limitted to even less then v11/12.
:P :P
and Caali's login will ever work IF you use the proper neuz.exe(v9 I think).

Lol i had my World Server back that connects to caalis log in and Char. Was legit.
