And what about if I (like a player) start the game directly with main.exe and don't want to use GLUpdate.exe. May be something will be coded additionaly in main.exe to force starting of GLUpdate.exe? Or may be this is the voluntary and recommended updating of files to make my client to be up to date?

maybe where you code the main so that i has to open mu.exe you could change the name and put GLUpdate.exe

If people really wants to have the latest version they should run autoupdater .

this is the name of app who launcher will run after it will check for updates
if u wana run mu.exe then chnage ti to
appname=mu
i still working on it and the idea is create tool who will delite main.exe(or another file) after u close the main.exe(or another file)
and the player will see main.exe only while playing game
i cann add that launcher will hide main.exe
but since player can select in explorer view hiden files there is no point of i t:ott1:

If your idea is just to protect main from alteration then better use main's checksum coz even you can force to pull the update it is easy to fake the update source to any address. Also Its not a good idea to always fetch 2mb (compressed) everytime you start the client.

i have a suggestion:
If you did encrypt/decrypt for .au file than all will can decrypt this file for servers that use this auto updater so i suggest you to do only encrypt tool: .txt -> .au and all will be fine.
a rate for your tools 9/10
