Ok, with the recent posts of a few people it seems they don't want Caalis files around as they clutter the forums with nothing but useless spam and arguments.
With the possible return of Adidishen to his osAFlyff project, and the release of Rhisis just around the corner we have two amazing emulators on the way and it's time to rid this place of the curse that is Caalis files for good.
So let your voice be heard and make your decision.
you have one week and after that I will tally the votes and present it to the higher ups.

I think we need to leave caali rev 1 files cause there are interesting for test.
And i don't know for rhisis but we aren't fully functional actually (quest are not implemented ans lot of other thing)
But WHEN they will have a complete release or nearly complet, yes i think we could stop threat about caali.

but they are exploitable.

I suggest that,we ban caalis at the perfect time,
dont take a rush choice,it would cause problem in future..
if so the vote is no higher than yes,caalis should stay around

i think theyre host in caalis files,while they focused on the new server files..
i could say 1/2 of flyff hoster ou there would problably have dev already..

my question would be. why are you even bothering to focas on caalis files. noone makes you guys post in those idiotic question topics about caalis files. just ignore them and keep focused on your project. once the good files are able to be hosted in WORKING condition. i belive only then should any files be removed. if the person cant or wont put in the effort to compile the files its there own fault. honestly i dont know why i give a shit but it seems kinda wrong to ban the only working files currently available to the community.Quote:

The main thing is people come here to learn about pServers, so they stumble upon Caalis files then they don't need anything else. But if they have 2 perfectly good sources to choose from they could at least attempt to help them. Any kid that has enough time in his day to play Flyff for hours on end can Google some kind of C++ or C# tutorial sites with no problem and learn a little bit of coding with no time at all. Hell, you can even go to pixel2life and get C#/C++ tutorials.Quote:

Rhisis as is, works.
Not perfectly, but it works enough. (And the source is being released sometime today, which will only further it's development)
I'm not so sure about osAFlyff, but I know it's been making progress.
And to be a bit blunt, if people want to continue to cry about Caalis files, then they can go to another forum. Simple. Plenty of other forums welcome Caalis files. And most allow Rev_3, so that's just even better for all the people that rely on bugged and dangerous files.
Also, as been stated before... This is a DEVELOPMENT forum, you can't Dev Caalis files. Sure you can change some thing in the database like NPCs and items... but not much more other than graphics.
Then you have the people that use it for getting packets, well... all those people that need it for that have it. So they don't really need to worry at all.

Actually, I think a link to download rev1 should be posted, in a sticky, but it should be clearly stated that it's ONLY for packet sniffing/logging. Actual discussion of Caali's files, help questions, etc. should still be banned. That way people won't bitch that they can't find Caali's files (they did this all the time when the files were banned) but STILL won't be flooding the forums with help requests.
OR just ban the files altogether... Both work IMO.
lol dont get me wrong i could give 2 shits less about the files. all i care about is playing. hosting is too much of a headache imo. lets hope Rhisis goes as planed an well see more servers opening that are stable and could breath some life into this community.if all else fails DD is here to save the day :thumbup1:Quote:
