If I make a server on vista

will people on XP be able to run it? Because that seems to be the issue I'm having.. Is there a fix?

If the server is running on vista it won't affect the client in terms of the OS.

But everyone who runs the server with XP gets a serial key error or
error init RInitD3D

That has nothing to do with the server platform, as previously stated.
