3.1.x Repack

First off, I TAKE NO CREDIT AT ALL FOR THIS REPACK!!! I didnt make this, edit this, or anything. I am merely posting it here so that others may use it for their own reasons. This repack was created by "stoneharry" and originally posted on the MMOwned.com forums. Look to here for the original thread.

I have personally tested this. It starts up and runs. Be advised though, I wasn't able to test every aspect of it so there may still be some bugs.

3.1 Server Repack:
Download


Just run the .exe file and it is all good to go. MAKE SURE YOU RUN THE MYSQL.exe INCLUDED OR THE SERVER WONT WORK!!! The username / password for the database is: root / ascent

Instructions:

- Download.
- Extract to C:\.
- Go into ac-web, server, and hit mysql_start. (if this doesn't work
you already have a mysql database running, shut it down!)
- Go back out and into the Aspire folder.
- Hit hearthstone-logonserver.exe
- Hit hearthstone-worldserver.exe
- set realmlist 127.0.0.1
- Go into database using navicat/sqlyog etc
(root - ascent : username - password) and either create a new account
or use one of the accounts in there already.

Edit3: MAPS MAPS MAPS. For those of you (like the usual me) who are lazy beyond recognition, I have made your lives just that much more simple. Here are the maps for you to use with this repack. Simply download the maps folder I have compressed in the link below. Then just extract the folder and place it into the "Aspire" folder of the server repack. That's it! Your done!

im new to making private servers, just started reinstalling wow yesterday and i downloaded this...ive downloaded another repac awhile ago and i rember having to do somthing like move a maps folder and something else into the my WoW folder...do i have to do that with the repack? =\

@grayworld8527: Yes, you have to take the "ad.exe" file that is under the EnUS (for the US client) or EnGB (for the GB client) and place that inside of your 3.1.x World of Warcraft folder. Then make a folder named "maps" (without the ""). After you do that, just simply run the "ad.exe" file and it will start converting all the maps in your WoW client into this "maps" folder. After the thing is done running, just cut + paste the "maps" folder into your PServer folder. Then you are good to go! Also, I have uploaded the maps and have posted a link in the bottom of my post up top. Check there for the most current maps.

@~Konas: Thank you. And I simply copy, pasted, compressed, and uploaded. Just doing my part to relay the greatness to all. As for your error, the only thing that I can think of is the directory that you placed server into. Make sure you have put the entire thing in your "C:" drive. Try that and get back to me if it worked or not.

ok, i just dowloaded the maps...still patching last one! yay! ok i download the map extractor, rival, and sipex now were do i put them? they came up as .rar files =D ty much for all your help

@grayworld8527 You have to extract all the crap from the .rar files. To do that, download WinRAR (just google it. Its a free download). I posted the maps up so that you don't have to extract the maps yourself (because the process takes a loooooong time). For the Sipex, that really doesn't matter where you place it. And I'm not going to go into detail to explain the use of it either. It is a relatively simple program and pretty easy to use. Just mess around with it for a bit. For the rest of it, just read the instructions in my post or in the original post. If you can't get it running, let me know.

i got it to work, but again just another wuick question, how to i get into the files to edt stuff like max lvls, adding my own items and npcs, and scripts? thanks again! =D

Well to add items and NPC's i recommend Flexible DB Editor. Just google it.
By scripts do you mean LUA scripts?

yeah lua scripts and i am having a minor problem i changed my realm list, start up everything...and try to log on ive tried root/ascent user/pass and i have tried adim/admin but i cant log on...idk how to work sipex or i would fidel with it and just a question what should my realm list info be if i want other ppl on my server the 127.xxxx w/e on or my ip adress to my router (which i have opened alrdy)
