How could I modify an item to be for a curtain amount of time

How can I create an item in zitem.xml to be for a curtain amount of time?
Cn someone explain me what to do?

Do you mean like for a limited amount of time?

i think he means a limited ammount of time, you need to make into a event item by putting into model.mrs as a event item , im sure you know how to do so since you're askin how to make it certain time. then use the admin panel to give it out for X number of days etc etc
