Who could be the next batman villain?

Note: I've misunderstood the concept of 'debate' (I think), please move the thread to the appropriate section.

My boner is popping out-of excitement for the next Batman installment, although it hasn't been informed yet -- if there is; I'm sure there will be -- (I heard it's due by 2011 as I was told so). Both 'Batman Begins' and the last installment [The Dark Knight] kept me wondering of who's next on the scenes.

Villain Zsasz is quite suitable for a realistic stance of a movie (his too decrepit, maybe?).

Character's effectiveness and value: Zsasz is a serial killer who cuts tally marks into his skin after each subsequent murder. He regularly refers to his victims as zombies and he insists that he's liberating them from pointless existence by slitting their throats. He briefly appeared in Batman Begins as an inmate in Arkham Asylum where he was identified as a hitman for the mob. During the film, his recognizable scars could momentarily be seen during his escape from Arkham.

Black Mask was awesome aswell.

Zsasz would seem very interesting

No, not this time, I shouldn't think so. Fantasy villains are very boring and unrealistic! Ever since the mogul has started with 'Batman Begins', the characters were attainable in reality.

I don't want another penguin, because Danny Devito's role in Batman Returns was pretty good.

Dumbo they already did Mr. Freeze, and it sucked hard core. (yes i know they repeat villeins in different series but it wont happen again...)

If any of you actually followed the batman news you'd already know who the next villains will be. ;)

maybe Two-Face?

I'm gonna say that the Riddler will return, and it will be the dude that knew who Bruce actually was in The Dark Knight.

Don't you think that both Riddler and The Joker have a similar persona?

Well since the last 2 movies had 2 villains in each one and I am presuming they will have 2 more. I honestly think it will be Black Mask and anyone who is involved with Black Mask.

Found some more info on this. Now I really think he is in the next movie.
Born into an upper class family that rivalled the Waynes, he later killed his parents, lost their fortune, and turned to crime. He wears a black mask and requires his gang to wear masks in his presence too. Interestingly, he targets Bruce Wayne rather than Batman. After kidnapping a number of Wayne Enterprises’ executives, he gets caught in a fire and his mask is melted onto his face, disfiguring him.

Reportedly almost made it into The Dark Knight. A likely choice for the sequel

Bare in mind that the context of the story has to fit with the past Batman movies; well, they've never stated that both 'BB' and 'TDK' were chronological, but it felt like it, since 'Batman Begins' was preceded by The Dark Knight.

The mere reason of me, watching Batman this time-around, is that the movie have been quite realistic with its story-lines.

Deadshot arrives in Gotham as a crimefighter but sneakily tries to replace Batman and become king of the underworld. A suicidal assassin, he usually sports a pair of silenced, wrist-mounted guns and wears a metal face plate with a targeting device. Wants to die in spectacular fashion.

P.S. I hate Johnny Depp.

The first villain to come to my head (Even before I saw the link) was The Riddler; he couldn't be played by Johnny Depp though, seriously it'd have to either be Jim Carey again or someone else like him. Either him, Penguin or Harley Quinn

Deadshot would be amazing to see. More importantly the cast who plays the character will really have to be very good and appropriate for that role. Nolan is going for a darker roles of these characters too so it won't be like the normal characters they would be much darker. Deadshot would be good but Black Mask is my answer but other than that, I have no idea since it could change and depending on who Nolan wants.

I hope he chooses a different character other than The Riddler. The Riddler will be on-cast by 2011; if that so, then I'll loose my interest on the story-line of Batman. I can't afford to see another 'Joker' like character. TDK's The Joker was enough and I'm satisfied with Ledger's performance - it made billions. Moreover, rumor has claimed that Johnny Depp is partaking the role, which boils me up.

I wouldn't mind seeing another Riddler, but it has to be insane and just down right crazy, and Johnny Depp is the only person I could think who could top that off, but I am same with you, we need somebody new. And to have Jim Carrey play as The Riddler in the new one would not be (in my opinion) able to pull of these types of Batman films.OH wow I forgot about Bane the only one to truly hurt the caped crusader. If this is as the media as said the last movie for Nolan in the Batman franchise, bane just might be in it.

There is plenty of choices for the direction Nolan is going in, he just needs to pick the right cast and characters and it could beat The Dark Knight by far.

what about superman being a villain? that'll be awesome 2 heroes in 1 movie!
