[Flash] CMS + Flash

I am currently working on my flash site and I need to figure out how to incorporate a type of CMS system so the Director can edit text (currently loaded via xml documents). I was wondering is there a free way of making it editable for him to add like images and change the news and setup a news system that loads via db? thanks for any help

That depends. TinyMCE for example provides a robust input system for text, layout and images, but the data is stored as HTML. To incorperate that data in your flash file you will have to find some way to transform it into an appropriate form (and of course still make the edit page yourself).

Right, and Flash supports some basic HTML tags under the right preferences. (This includes image tags btw ;)
You should find that very useful.

So you just need to stream the text from the XML into a text-field with HTML enabled. :thumbup:

Just make sure the system doesn't add any HTML that isn't supported :o

you can do back end/CMS using php/mysql and in GUI is flash/flex + XML then mySql as DB
