Ok i have looked through the whole cabal forum, and i can get a little bit into all of these guides but then i eather always run into errors and no one can help, or the guide isnt very clear. Can someone make a video guide with step-step instructions on what to do? instead of these adobe acrobatic guides or video guides where we watch someone make a server instead of explaining. I just need something that i can understand and doesnt rush through everything. you will have my eternal thanks.

if you just follow the step by step you will fix the problem. Problem with most of new members they think in a instant they can create a private server. The key in creating a server is time and patience. You cannot make cabal server if you always what it to be instant . It will take you a month or two to perfect it and also no one can really help you but yourself. All the forum can give to you is GUide not to make the server for you.... :lol:Quote:

I did my pdf guides in a much more simple way with lots of pictures showing what needed doing and some explanations on things that can't be easily documented like what ip addresses to use. Combined with my install and config scripts it really cannot be made any easier. As for nobody being able to help you that simply isn't true. The only posts you have are the one about mmc that i just answered and one on Mahi's topic which i didn't see before but if you have browsed around you should see i border on "fanatical" when it comes to helping people.
Cath22 is right Cabal simply isn't an easy server to run and it will take time even if you already have mssql, linux and vmware knowledge. What we have now is far superior that what was available when i learned!
Get your mssql sorted out first which is the easy bit. Next is getting centos into vmware and getting it to talk to mssql. Post if you get stuck and we will help.
