Extracting DBC's Maps and Vmaps
-----------------------------------------------------------------------

Put ad.exe in extractors folder to your WoW 3.1.3 Installed location(Default is C:/Program files/Blizzard Entertainment/World of Warcraft) and extract the dbc's and maps, put them into maps folder in C:/Trinity

To get VMAPS goto vmap folder in extractor folder and put makevmaps_simple.bat to your WOW

3.1.3 Installation directory, copy created "VMAPS" folder into C:/Trinity/maps

SETING UP YOUR DATABASE

In C:/Trinity/database folder are all SQL files for world/realmd/character db in rar, unpack them.

Use SQLYOG or Navicat or commandline interface, which ever you like for mysql db installation.

Create Database "world" for world db, "realmd" for realms and "characters" for character db.

Now right click on the "world" DB and choose RESTORE FROM SQL DUMP and choose world.sql located in C:/Trinity/database then click execute when finished click close

Now right click on the "realmd" DB and choose RESTORE FROM SQL DUMP and choose realmd.sql located in C:/Trinity/database then click execute when finished click close

Now right click on the "characters" DB and choose RESTORE FROM SQL DUMP and choose characters located in C:/Trinity/database then click execute when finished click close

Preparing Trinity

Next open Trinitycore.conf also in C:/TRINITY and change these line now change this line
(DataDir = ".")
to this
(DataDir = "C:/Trinity/maps")

if you want to use VMAPS change the following lines from

vmap.enableLOS = 0
vmap.enableHeight = 0

to this

vmap.enableLOS = 1
vmap.enableHeight = 1


Change other settings according to your will.

For Vote Reward system to work find this


Console.Enable = 1
Ra.Enable = 0
Ra.IP = 0.0.0.0
Ra.Port = 3443
Ra.MinLevel = 3
Ra.Secure = 1

and change it to


Console.Enable = 1
Ra.Enable = 1
Ra.IP = 0.0.0.0
Ra.Port = 3443
Ra.MinLevel = 3
Ra.Secure = 1

save and exit it.

CREATE ACCOUNT

open C:/TRINITY and run TRINITYREALM and also run TRINITYCORE
wait for a beep sound

Once you hear the beep click the TRINITYCORE screen and type in the following ACCOUNT

CREATE USER PASSWORD

change USER to the login name you would like

change PASSWORD to the password you would like

then press enter

WOTLK type in the following

ACCOUNT SET ADDON USER 2

TBC type in the following

ACCOUNT SET ADDON USER 1

To make a GM Account type in this (1 being lowest 4 being highest)

account set gmlevel USER 4

where user is your user name

Vote Reward System

In your Repack folder copy votesystem to your main web folder (htdocs)

now open and edit config.php

According to your DB settings.

and remote access user name and pass must be your GM account with level 3 or higher access.

save and exit.

You can change your vote rewards and vote links in tabs.php settings.

Vote System Works 100%, if you have questions/problem on vote system please post here.

Nice repack! World DB is very complete.

I have a problem adding the "Characters" and "Realmd" SQLs on mi DB. I use Navicat for importing data onto my server.

The errors are:

you can comment out the lines which are giving problem, as they are only db_version tables. if comment out do not work i am going to re check it, and upload new one.

thx for that, i have one question : support trinityirc??

no it do not have trinityirc as trinityirc is a patch, and there are 4-5 different trinityirc versions like trinitychat, trinichat etc, if you want you have to compile a new core for it.

Ok! Got it to work ^_^ Just removed all the lines like:

Well im going to start by saying this is a nice repack so far. It has been pretty simple to setup. have a couple of questions tho.

1. I have done everything in the insturctions up the part where i create an account. when i try to run trinityrealm it opens and closes instantly and, the same goes for trinitycore. any ideas of what the problem could be?

2. I use to create private servers back b4 WOTLK and would always have a control panel where i would start mysql, realm, logon server and then apache. well i have noticed that with this repack those things are not present do you need them or not? If you do where can i get them for this repack.


3. On my old servers I used a repack called panex public. It worked great. but there was something also called arcemu with it.. need it or no? If so where can i find one that is compatable with your program? Thx for the help....

this is not a arcemu repack, its a Trinity Repack as the topic name says,

now your questions

1. you have missed the settings for trinity in trinity.conf files, you should read again the comments in the trinity.conf files and then update the configs with YOUR mysql settings, i am 100% sure u have missed the user name/password for the db to connect. Also adjust other settings in the configs, all comments are given and it can be adjusted correctly if you follow them.

2. No, those repacks are based on some other method, but as far as running Trinity core and Trinity Realm is concerned you can download trinityguard from trinity forums here http://www.trinitycore.org/forum/

3. Nothing extra is needed with this, it has everything.

Well I got the Trinity core to finally start up and now i am not getting the beep noise to sound so that i can create the account. This is what I am getting <

I have already checked the files and that specific map is in the folder.

Now i was just blindfiring earlyer with the vm maps thing whick of the 4 files do i put in the wow directory and run? also when you say put the files in the C:/Trinity/data foulder the only foulder i have that has data in it is database is that the foulder i put them ???

Hello x1lla, thanks for the repack, but i`m experiencing some problems :
1. When I am trying to connect to my sv , it says I quote : "The information you have entered is not valid. Please check the spelling of the account name and password. If you need help in retriving a lost or stolen accont or password see [...]"
The server starts , I`m shure I didnt missed anything , both trinity core and trimity realm start , and the server is up , but I cant connect to my sv , I checked a douzen times my realmlist.wtf to see if I`m stupid or not...My curent game client is 3.1.3 (9947) .
2. I`m not shure, maybe it was wrong to put a diffrent password for MySql( root password) when I installed it ? I changed it but I modified the trinitycore.conf , and trinityrealm.conf the password, so my sv starts like I said before. I dont know what to say I cant connect , from my experience so far in making sv , I think I`m dont have the right client ,the version of the game may not be the right one , I made my accounts manually in SQL database, and I checked in trinitycore to see if I was doing it wright but the accounts were ok :( not that was the problem , any suggestions ? :((

You shouldn't create the accounts in the mysql database, use the server-console. Because passwords are encrypted and if you plain-text them into the database they're unreadable ;) Hope this helps.

it says that i got outdated maps, but i just created them!

My client version is: 3.1.3 (9947) enGB

in the config file you can uncheck "checkDB" but i does'nt help!

Just use again the tools to extractor ad.exe and make vmaps.bat in wow client(3.1.3), them all work so fine.

Put ad.exe and make vmaps.bat in C:\World of Warcraft , run this two files. The ad.exe process realy fast about 5 or 6 minutes (depend our machine) but make a vmaps is lot more time, maybe 15-30 min. Them put dbc, map and vmap folders in C:/Trinity.

But you use the tools for trinity to extract yours maps? Because this problem ocour whem you not use this especific tools.

i still need help its supossed to download SQLYOG or navicat to install DB??? I have MaNGOS platinum for wow 1.12.x and its just run the ad.exe and start mysql, realm and that.. why is so confusing now?

Fellow this a repack... The instruction in first post is for a SQLYOG, but is similary in navicat. You can use any outher mysql front-end you have...If you can start this server easy and fast make this steps:

1-Create 3 database in mysql: realmd, world, characters
2-Import the sql file in Trinity\Database folder to respective db. Ex: realmd=realmd.sql :):
3-Now in your trinity server directory configure TrinityRealm.conf and TrinityCore.conf
4-Use ad.exe to extract dbc and maps in wow client diretory. Copy this folders to your trinity server diretory.
5-Them run TrinityRealm.exe and TrinityCore.exe....
