Hi guys, i'm new here and i really like perfect world and want to start my own private server. I have a windows vista computer and i'll need a guide on how to create a private server. If you know any guides just post the link here or tell me. Thanks for reading and sorry for the trouble.

If you don't understand half the stuff being said I'd recommend Beastie's release for VMware. Its a simple image you download and start up in VMware. If you can't handle that, then I'd recommend learning more about computers in general.Quote:

You might want to look up to see if any Linux User Groups are near you. They can at least suggest reading materials to get started with Linux and is how I started. You can also try grabbing Ubuntu and running it off the CD.

i saw totomans guide but then i dont c a guide all it says is "I am redoing this tut. I will probably do it via Ustream with everyone. Unless you have 32bit PC with windows XP with at LEAST 1 gig of ram, you might run into quite a few problems." there was another one too but then i cant find the write program to open the extension files, tried win rar, rar 7 or w/e it is but still couldnt open it. I think totomans would be the best for me but then i dont c it, so i'm guessing he's working on it. Guess i'll have to wait for now.
hwalk, as far as I know coLinux doesn't work on Vista or something. You should use the VMware release by Beastie. Not sure though I could be wrong.
