2.Create in this folder a file: UpdateVersion.ini
Write inside of it:

Create a folder on yours a web a server http://yoursite/Shaiya/patch
Create ZIP archive in patch folder with your files (in the official version in it there is updating SAH and SAF) and rename it in ps0057.patch

PatchFileVersion=57 Is number of a new patch
Your version of game should be less - 56 (Client:Version.ini CurrentVersion=56)

Find shaiya.patch.aeriagames.com and change to your IP or hostname webserver
PS:
For change of news etc.. Find other http:// (hex) addresses and change at own discretion
As updatings SAH are created and SAF I yet do not know. Probably who wrote packers/unpackers to us will help.

Create archive ps0057.zip (I have given structure of archive in an example on rapidshare) and add in it the files necessary to you for updating. Then rename ps0057.zip-> ps0057.patch
In original updating two files sah and saf lay. I yet do not know as them to collect as a patch. Creation of these two files who is probable are able people made unpacker. It is necessary to create the program. Mb ZeroSignal will create... Probably.

I have look on USA structure and they use update.saf and update.sah , the problem is , they dont put all saf file inside the update it mean we must be able to create a .saf file and insert on it only the file we want to update, the problem is, "how create a .saf and .sah file? " I tried to make using a zip file I have edited 2 textures for test make a folder called updater or data ( tried both ) insert on it the address ( ex. : entity/textures ) renamed the data.zip to data.saf but is broken and also it dont update the data.sah, if we cant do it we need all time upload a whole saf file ( 2GB around ) on the webserver? :w00t::w00t::w00t: I have try with a tool ( the chinese one ) to delete files inside the data.saf but it dont let me, I can only extract and import... any solution for get update features working or still idle at the moment till some programmer like ZS make a tool or something?Quote:

I noticed zlib.dll file in Shaiya dir. I guess this compression tool is used to compress data.saf? I tried to find out how to use it but it's for developers ... writing in C++ or other languages.
Am I correct that zlib is used to compress data.saf and data.sah files? If it does, it'd be great as PHP has functions allowing to compress and decompress with zlib :D.
Does anyone have tool to create *.SAF files?

Just one question. Say for example i have 2 sites. One is the game site (e.g. shaiyaabc.com) and another is patch update site (e.g. 123shaiya.com). If user click on 123shaiya.com, it would be manually redirected (there will be a page that automatically redirect after few second later) to shaiyaabc.com. The patch or updates is located at http://www.123shaiya.com/Shaiya/Pacth and including other such as
www.123shaiya.com/notice - for News. The registration page is at www.shaiyaabc.com which is the main game site.
My question is, if i uses the technique by Twilight to make my own updater but based on the above mentioned scenario, do you think it would be ok? Or i have to use 1 site for both games and patch updates?

If the server is not a patch updater will only create a dummy file updates. Therefore, errors debugging and more.

1: Run Updater
2: version.ini goes poof. Updater crashes
3. Replace version.ini
4. Repeat 1-3

Create a patch of your updated Cash.sdata file. :) That's how I did it.
As for the updater problems, there are many different posts on how to edit the updater. Just search around, not only this forum but others as well. Remember: Google is your friend.
