Wrong section.
To fix it, remake your whole weapon and make sure you don't delete the default cube before entering editing mode.
So, the first thing you do when entering blender is GOING INTO EDITING MODE SO YOU WONT FORGET.

dude you fail terribly
Delete all objects in the object window, create new object, go into edit mode and model your object, split your window into 2, go into UV/Image Window, Map your object, go into object mode, Add material to object, insert image, select image, resize and reposition, export to gunz.
xD

that is correct, or else you will have a cube and everything else in your model

These things are almost the same.
Remaking for me is deleting and starting again.
I think you misunderstood what I wrote, it's basically the same method. You just added how to texture.
Default cube is the cube you start with when you open blender
Re: [HELP!] gunz weapons in blender
i have never used the cube to create anything ive done, ive use a plain, and at most, a cylinder.
Re: [HELP!] gunz weapons in blender
Oh, I see. You use the tracing method? I use it sometimes, at difficult things or when I'm too lazy.
EDIT: I think you mean 'plane'.
Re: [HELP!] gunz weapons in blender
never used the tracing methods.. i make my own models i dont base off images =P
i consider that leeching
Re: [HELP!] gunz weapons in blender
Ppl, learn to UV Map plz ...
Nearly everything is Traved here ~.~
Re: [HELP!] gunz weapons in blender
UV mapping everything correctly takes too much time, and you got to be good at editing things like photoshop to make the right textures or got to be a good drawer. those skills lack at alot of people.
Re: [HELP!] gunz weapons in blender
UV Maps are easy to do, the hard part is indeed the texturing
Re: [HELP!] gunz weapons in blender
uv mapping can be as hard as you make it. If you take time (like true game developers) it would take hours to correctly uv map, seeing that you would collapse it all to the smallest size possible.
3ds in my opinion is the best uv mapping software
Re: [HELP!] gunz weapons in blender
Aslong as u have good seems every uv unwrapping method is okay o,o
