Its a nice repack that ive seen so far mate however,

Ironforge mage portal
Ironforge Dalaran portal and im guessing all the portals for Ironforge doesn't go to Ironforge,

Also i can not fly anywhere either.
Website looks half done also mate.. is there meant to be more then just the sign up page?
No GM venders either mate... I've redone it a few times to make sure and yeah things just not working.

Cheyne I only put a simple spora web page in both of the repacks so people can add any website they want. And I think you DL'd the top one which is only blizzlike. Try the bottom one it is a fun server portals work, GM venders on GM Island, and you can fly every were. I am sorry I will have to edit the thread so it will be more clear. The first repack on the top is Blizzlike, And the second repack on the bottom is a Fun server.

Ahh my bad mate sorry about that i will download the other one :) i thought i did that lol... Either way top one is still awesome just a little bit of a bug with ironforge portals still then :)

Yes there are some bugs in both nothing is 100% perfect yet. I am still working out the bugs. Hopefully ArcEmu will release a better 3.2.0 patch for me to compile and I think I might try a different database for my next repack.

ok tested out the fun server flying doesn't work in like places of stormwind basically the old world mate and the pheonix mount is a done as a ring and not useable.... the teleporter in stormwind kills the gear starter dude as well. Also the Winged steed of the Ebon blade isnt working either thats from the admin account :)

Basically all i did was unzip drop in maps and vmaps start the servers *.exe jumped into server tested it and yeah just doesn't work.

how do you make new accounts?
i dont like using the admin account and starting off my new characters as they are stuck on GM island.

I hate to be the newb to ask this question. I am new to the forums and have tried to gain a fundamental understanding of how these 'repacks' go. I am in Afghanistan and I want to set up a private server for us here.

Do you need WoW installed on the serving machine to start this repack? I have the server running xampp and I have a strong understanding of php and mysql. Any advice? Oh, I am downloading the repack now, it takes forever here. I will try it as soon as I get it finished. The question still stands though, do you need WoW installed to run serve the repack?

Edit: The reason for us to have a private server is for LAN use only. The people that will be playing are all paying users of legit wow. We just don't have the internet bandwidth to sustain enjoyable game-play while here. Thanks for any help guys.

Hello Blackcell

I am the creator of this repack and to answer your question no you don't need to have WoW installed on your server PC to run this repack but you will need it installed and patched to 3.1.3 to play this repack. It might be a good idea to have it installed though on your server PC because you need to extract the maps from your WoW game and move them to your Arcemu folder. I have included instructions on this in the read me that comes with the repack. If you have any problems I will be happy to help you. I try to check this thread at least once a day. Enjoy!

Ok thanks for the response. I have wow on my pc. I can extract the maps from there and move them over correct? Also, I have 3.1.3.2994? I am assuming the 2994 is the subversion. Does that make a difference?

Excuse me, it is 3.1.3.9947. Also, do you have a mysql script to set up the database schema? I am already hosting some stuff with the xampp suite. I am pretty well versed in the ins and outs of phpmyadmin. If I can just find the sql files I can dump them myself but, it appears you have the server set up to do this for the user with a custom mysql server?

Sorry I found the raw tables in the mysql folder. I will just copy them over. Wow man, you really did make this quite simple for someone starting it from scratch. I just can't part with my xampp and don't want to have to run the character page on a seperate port :)

EDIT: I have decided to turn this into a Q&A as I stumble my way through figuring out how to make this thing public. If you have any answers to pending issues please let me know.

I am having the same issue with the login. I try to select the realm (Wink's Realm) and it acts like it is down. I am hosting on another server which is 192.167.2.2. We are on an established network. My client version is 3.1.3(9447). I have both the logon server and the world server running on my serving machine. I finally hammered out some errors in one of the configuration files. I have created an account via the web interface. I have tried both admin/admin and my created account. Both act the same, asking me repetitively to select a realm when Wink's Realm is the only available. I have configured the world.config file to accept the password I use for mysql. Any help?

Q&A(Issues)

ISSUE:
There is a line in configs/logon.config that you have to complete in order to open the ip range. Should be around line 90. I found this because I turned logging on to debug and it was denying connections due to restricted ip.
RESOLUTION:
I still can't figure out how to make this thing accept everything within the 192.168.1.0 range. I have tried 192.168.1.0/24 l like it says but no go. Finally fixed this. Just replace the 127.0.0.1/24 with 192.168.1.0/24


ISSUE:
Can't connect to realm
RESOLUTION:
There is a line 51 in realms.config that you have to change your servers accepted address from 127.0.0.1 to your network address (192.164.3.1 example) to allow it to go public.

I will start a buglist for you. I don't know if these servers are supposed to be buggy or what but I can't find a fix in the mysql database for some of this stuff.

Buglist:
-Horse seller in Eastvale Logging Camp will not talk to you.
-Rogues can't buy vanish skill (this may be due to the fact that I jumped myself 450k exp for level 30. IF ANYBODY Knows where the table of skills is located and named I would greatly appreciate it.
-Can't learn jewlcrafting because the Apprentice jewlcrafter in won't offer it. UPDATE: This bug is hit and miss. It seems she will about 1 % of the time.

Edit: Nvm its solved now.. My registation script made just wrong flag...

You have to either reboot the logon server or wait an undetermined period of time that is around or more than 5 minutes. The server will reload the accounts sql tables then.

I have run into a few issues. I am running this repack for a half-legit server with a few tweeks. I have completely coded a php page that contains and item shop where you can buy hard to get items or bugged vendor items. Once you purchase these through the online interface, it will mail you the item and subtract the gold. I also have a banking system with it that will loan you money, and has a savings account. The two interest rates are dependent on a target goal in a default guild bank. Pretty snazzy so far and still working on it.

I would like to know though:
Are you aware that after reaching level 70, your exp bar caps and you can't advance. Also, some of the mount vendors are bugged. There are more bugs but those are the two that stand out. Oh, the quest for the hunter pet on the ?human? side doesn't work. Warriors stances are buggered up. I have one guy that has been playing both those classes and he constantly asks if I have a fix for it. Any patches for this release yet?

what DB are you using? or what DB is this compatible with?

Is it a db issue? I keep running into some horrible horrible bugs that are turning into a huge hassel. If I can use another DB I will be willing to switch dbs and lose all data as of now. I just don't want my users to get to 80 and lose everything they have worked a couple weeks for.

Edit:
I am not for positive about the server/database relationship. It seems that the server is the physics of the game and they db is all of the statistical data. If I can switch DBs or upgrade ArcEmu version to fix it, which DB is the best, where do I find it, or how do I download and install the latest Arcemu update?
