[Help] forwarding ports/ server client

hi , i got a few questions , hope some1 can help me :):
1: I've made a mu server on a virtual server (os:windows server 2003 sp2) and on the same computer i got vista , now i want to play on the mu server , do i have to forward ports for that ? because i only want my local network to go on the server
2: I used the serverfiles : 7.11.56 Server files, repacked by Oski
but i can't find a good client for it , could some1 help me plz
