Sooo i was talking to my mother today and this is how the convo went;

Me: Hello?
Mom: DID YOU GO TO CHURCH TODAY?!
Me: Um, no i have a fever.
Mom: YOU SHOULD GO ON THOSE MISSIONARY TRIPS TO INDIA.
Me: ...why?
Mom: BECAUSE YOU DONT GO TO CHURCH.


So
A) she wants me gone for a long time
B) she wants me killed (cause some people just dont like religion being shoved in their faces which brings me to my next point)

second part of convo;

Mom: Y'know jesus wanted to take you home (i was in critical condition and almost died) when you were 7 months old and i fought for you and now im thinking it was a bad idea cause you dont go to church.
Me: ..WTF?!


Now the reason i'm posting this is because i want to know if its just the european christian parents who do this or is it just christians in general?

Secretly switch the plan ticket from india to the bahamas, and when you go back say that you switch to hindu.

Good thing my parents and I are non religious >_>

I honestly believe IF you're going to be religious you should be able to 'worship' or pray w.e; however you want, whenever you want, where ever you want.

I don't see a reason why you HAVE to go to church, when the confines of your own house would do more than good.

Religions such as Islam require you to pray several times per day at certain times, but even so.. thats pretty flexible.

I remember when I was like 4 my mom didn't give a shit about religion. But then I guess when parents get older and they have nothing to do, they become more and more religious. All my siblings have moved out and I'm the only one left so since her job and looking after me don't give her enough to do, shes started going more and more into the motherfucking bible. My dad on the other hand isn't that religious.

Sure my family has gone to church and stuff before, but since my parents split up and my father is getting older and older.. he's become a lot more religious.
He's not horribly religious, but he refers to the bible a lot. He even forbids us to say jesus christ.

This is the way i see it.

Go to church, you live with your mom and she raised you, if she wants you to go, go... because when you leave home, you can do whatever the hell you want. I go to church cus im a catholic, but im not really holy, i dont even sit inside, i stand at the back, but i have to say that i believe God has helped me in hard times, but still i will not be really holy ever.

But thats me, what do i count.

Now i know there are some people who believe in religions alot... but your mom is over doing it for sure if doesn't want you alive for missing a day of church

It's the perfect religion, you don't specifically believe in anything so there's a good chance if any religion is right you will be allowed in. While you don't get the whole jackass persona telling people you're atheist brings about. Win-Win.

Really I don't understand how people who haven't been contacted by a divine entity can't be agnostic, I mean how can you know for sure that something is right with no proof? I categorise myself as Agnostic-Christian, in that I agree with many of the rules but don't know if there is a god, how can I possibly know?
