Does anyone know a answer to this problem?
Ok was just curious if anybody ran into a problem like this? And if so how would i fix it. First off everything runs like it is supposed to on my pc. It wasnt until i zipped the file and sent i to a friends pc that it didn't work. I created a game client for his game and made it where it has a special encryption for the folders in the game client because people were stealing stuff that he made. How i created this program is through a mix of vb and dos. I made bat files and everything and made it where the bat files and the client exe. and the vb are in 1 single exe that i created using bat to exe. And i have the encrypted files beside the single exe. Well when i click the exe it extracts everything and then it runs the client just fine. But when i sent it to him it didnt work but all the bats and stuff did but the client never opened. Is this because i encrypted the files on my pc before i placed them in the zip file and sent them. If so anyone know a fix for this. Because the exe has the program in it that is supposed to unencrypt the files. Is the files not saving right because the files are encrypted and is it a possibility that its not transfering right because they are encrypted? Please respond back someone with a idea on how to fix this thank you.
Re: Does anyone know a answer to this problem?
i may be wrong.
to me, you dont sound like you could be capable of even making a batch file, and since when do you program games with batch files?
also, some "special encryption" that protects a folder? unlikely.
also, you didnt even say what the problem is

I agree with above, but, there are ways you can encrypt folders. I have a friend whom has done it on a PC in school. The folder contains all the answers for the class worksheets and other things. It is designed to stay on that computer and his flash drive. But the game in a batch file is very unlikely.
