[Dev] new flyff emulator? c/c++
Hi guys,
I want to start with a new open source (first v13) emulator written in C/C++.
I would like to use this for my own projects (i have thousand ideas) as well as provide it for the Flyff community.
Cause it'll be open source you can program yourself own features you want to.
The best thing would be if we continune with the Spheron source.
SVN: http://spheron.googlecode.com/svn/trunk/
A few things about me:
- From Germany (my english isn't really good, is it?)
- C/C++ beginner (real time 1 month)
- Good at organizing things
A few things to my project:
- (gaming) community
- hp & forum(orginal wbb3) ready, but no sponsor for a server or similar
- a friendly, but little team (1x admin, 1x flyff admin, 2x web scripter, tm admin, 1x designer)
- will host games like Trackmania, Lineage2, Flyff ect pp
- maybe a coding team for software later
I need some C/C++ developer to start this project cause I'm not really good at programming yet.
But if you think you can help us in another way contact me, too.

Re: [Dev] new flyff emulator? c/c++
Good luck.
I'd suggest learning abit more first, and also learn about packets. And just so you know, V13 changed so that some packets are slightly different/sent/processed in different ways. So looking at old packet structures will only get you half way there.
I also came across this problem, i'm also coding a server, to go with the new kFlyFF v14 Neuz, which also apparently has different spawn packets to get into the world server, in some way or another. You won't find my project on the internet because it's not being released as a public source. Not to sound bad in any way, but we most probably won't even release the Binaries.
Anyway yeah, good luck. Unfortunately I can't help.
Re: [Dev] new flyff emulator? c/c++
If you need some info, i suggest you o look in the release section and search guide about packet structure released by Frostelite. Write an emulator is not easy, so i wish you luck. Even if you don't finish your emu, you will see that you will learn a lot of things !
Re: [Dev] new flyff emulator? c/c++
Thanks at all (especially divine & Mythx).
I know that I have to learn much thinks before socket programming, but I'm working hard at my skills to be better.
Re: [Dev] new flyff emulator? c/c++
Three weeks of C++ experience, and already starting an open-source Emulator project?
Mhm.. good luck with that. I doubt that you'll get anywhere.
But..
If you try, then you may fail, but if you don't try at all, then you're meant to fail.
Re: [Dev] new flyff emulator? c/c++
C++ imo is the worst choice for a beginner, its a really complex language compared to others :(
But I wish you good luck and dont give up after some days like I almost did lol
Re: [Dev] new flyff emulator? c/c++
I'm starting with C and having basic skills in vb & rb.
That's why I need developer =/
