Ice Dynasty CMS Lite

Credits:

First and foremost,this is just a template for Dynasty CMS, however, I am coding new things for it so its kind of a revision, the original credits are given here, MjClarke1 is the original person to release this CMS, Matt was the first to code the original back bone to the CMS, the credits were removed from the visible template, but all the credits were left in the source and not tampered with, the only reason they were removed is because it is a 100% completely new template.

Other then that, the rest of the credits (template, new coding/database edits) go to me.

Install:
Installation is the same as dynasty,
http://localhost/ice-dynasty/install/install.php

enter the info and submit, information can be edited in the admin cp, a side note, i added 3 new columns to the dynastycms database, this is to make the staff page easier to use. More on this below.

Functions:
Same functions as dynasty atm.

• Change Password
• Delete my character (will clean the database of friends, quests, items and character)

• Edit News
• Edit Events
• Edit Updates
• Ban
• Unban
• Change someones class
• Make an account a GM
• Reset a characters level
• Change a Characters name
• Change a Clan name
• Change a characters stats
• Change a characters level
• Delete a clan
• Delete a account
• Delete a character

Other features

• ****** Password field for registering.
• ****** for logging in.
• Admin CP works for accesslevel 300 +
• Admins and use User CP
• No GMs on Rankings
• Easily configurable.

Made new db table to handle news, events, and updates pages, added forms to admin cp to add news, events, or updates to the database. Edited the install to create the new database table.
The SQL will be available separately for those that don't want to reinstall the whole cms over again.


More to come, plan on adding more to the database to maximize user functionality.

End Notes:
Most of this was copy paste from the original dynasty topic, anyways, but thats just because this inst a brand new CMS rather a revamp of Dynasty CMS, also, keep in mind, this is a 'lite' template and coding, so minimalism is considered above all else.

If you find any bugs please post or pm me, also if you have any ideas on things you would like see in the admin cp or user cp let me know and i will be glad to do it or at least try to do it for you.

most text is image, but things such as news or forms are text as the php files, but things like links and those are images.

can you put a psd files for the menu? so we can edit it, example for item mall

That font can be changed eaaaaasy, that's just so ppl don't have to install a font to there CPU to view the site correctly, and it actually isn't the default font (arial) its actually vrinda which I had to add to my list on dreamweaver so chaaa..

I know how to change it but you got some people that don't know that ;)
Anyway that's true about the Font installing thingy but you can watch what every comp has and you can code a system that makes it show the right way.
Anyway that's my opion.

just a little update on what i will be releasing next,

ive done some minor tweaks to certain codes that rifke pointed out, and i want it to be made clear that all these things are currently like that in dynasty cms so i didnt code those originally, made a few minor updates as far as UI goes, took away a few annoying echo messages and added links to logout and user cp to all pages, the the thing that is taking the most time, would be the user cp storage viewer, and the admin cp storage viewer/editor.

the storage viewer, and editor was suggested by rl2171 via email, so after getting a full up database with all the information i needed i began working, currently the UI and base structure of the script is complete all thats left is the functionality.

that is going to be the admin editor/viewer, allowing the admin to view any users storage and edit it how they please, whether that be adding/deleting or rearranging the items.

as for user, they can view storage and maybe rearrange.
havent decided yet.

The official Dynasty Lite had way less typing errors.
First of all your template wrongly cut and has so many images while you could be doing it with 2.

The text is image shaped which is amateuristic as it will be bad for your SEO and other search results.
The styling is also done within the main files making things hard to look up and should always be done seperatly.

The CMS is not browser compatible either.

It's not about pleasing everyone its technical knowledge, you don't seem to have much experience with webdesign and development in general seeing as you make alot of mistakes. all this code is based on the original coders Matt and Mike.

And all you did was change things what got it to screw up and give loads of errors and web mistakes. it's fine you try to script things but you are making it seem as if you got plenty experience which I really don't believe.

That was of course before it was made into dynasty, and all mike did when it became dynasty was refine the code a bit and gave it a better template, so like i said, matt created the base coding, i created most of the features, and mike made it all into a better working cms, AND i dont even think mike even made the dynasty template himself i think he just downloaded it and put the cms's php into it.

And your right, i dont have much experience with webdesign, but u know what, this template satisfies me, and i havent seen any errors yet (apart from when u loggin, but ive fixed that).

and i said above of course its all based on there code, thats in the first paragraph, but some of it is my own, such as the news/events/patches, system i did that myself and even made the sql myself, anyways im done arguing it, it doesnt rly matter, everybody has there opinion.

This is like where the most people get stuck.

They can hardly set up a Server.
Will they be even harder to create there own Design/website/CMS.
So I think this is a good start for them and look what it has to offer and look how they can see how it works and try to go create there own ;)

thought i read somewhere your name was mark sorry, haha, anyways yeah, i didnt touch any of the already existing code, such as the login, so i didnt check for sql injections, that pretty much means, that all dynasty users are in danger of sql injections, unless u make an updated version, ill fix it when i get a chance im currently in limbo with computers hopping around.

So just to verify, yes matt for original cms, me for functions, and matt.2 for revisions, improvements, etc.

I'd update it but I don't do support anymore, so I could care less, but I thought I'd just share that. I'm sure that there are many more places where you can inject because the variables input directly to the SQL statement and aren't checked

yeah once i get a new laptop ill continue this project, ill do a bunch of security fixes for it. But until then yeah.
