Anything is possible... but I'd never noticed that you could see a party members level. Even to the nearest 10 levels.
Presumably there is a string "%s %dx" somewhere. That will have to be wsprintf processed with a string "CharacterName" and a number which will have to come from the players level and be IDIVed by 10, or converted to a string and trimmed to 1 significant character.
Sounds like a fun project.
damn couldnt find this ""%s %dx""
you have any idea?
Use ollydbg on run-time and attach to the game
go in a party and look in the data section for the name of a party member
look until you find the party struct array with all your party members, you will see the level there. close the party window. place a breakpoint on the level dword, open partywindow, the rest is easy, actually the whole thing is easy but ok.
That's a good strategy. A different approach to the one I would take, but it should work, and if that is easier for you to understand, then go for it.
The example I gave would not be accurate enough to search for, but I've not seen the string displayed in the party window... TBH I've not played in a party for years, my friends are usually sat next to me, or at least on my headset, so I don't really need the functionality it provides. Usually we prefer not to share Exp, but to give it to one player or another.
Understanding wsprintf string formatting is essential, but when you know what variables are included in the string where, I would find the formatting string in the constants list, and break on it's access. With an MBP. Then step the code to see what is done with the values.
Either route will find the code you are looking for. And from that point of view, it should be pretty easy... yeah.
who is usernamehere2???.... :D... You post correct about it :D
ofc. usernamehere2 is a very anonymous screen name. I assume there is a good reason for that, and so do not presume to inquire. :lol:
Written style and working practices seem familiar though. I say nothing more.
I think usernamehere2's advise is sound.
help search lv in party

IDK... seem about the same from a C++ point of view to me. As I say, I party so rarely I don't remember what the string looked like on screen.
Excellent work. Well done Gregoory.:thumbup:
why u changed the 7e to /EB?
7E = JLE SHORT
EB = JMP SHORT
Clear now?

other question about party:
how i can add more lvl for party? Ex: orginal 9 lvl max dif, i want change to 12 lvl max dif, how?:ehh:
@cacots:-
Please use the search before posting. The more correct place for this question is surly in this recent thread where Gregoory explains the level difference check in your party.
Please thank him if the information is useful. :D:

Well, I searched "Party Level" and though this thread came up first, (thanks to that cross thread post) Gregoorys' post was second, even without it being made a separate tutorial.
Maybe I'm just that good at searching. :tongue::lol:
Thanks for the new guide though Gregoo. :D:
