How come every server i've played so far can't stay up more than 2 hours?
I mean, are all released sources this unstable?
(I have no experience with WoW dev, this is actually the first time i'm in this section.)

Can you be more specific? Lots of servers can hold up much more than 24h without restart with a lots of players(on my server plays only few players but it hold on-line without restart over 7 days) so I think you just didn't have lucky with choosing servers ;)
i think its because they want to get rid of the idle people on the server to decrease lag
i just have a restart every sunday at 6 pm GMT+1 and then again at 9 PM because its 10% bonus xp in between, also it enables to load any changes, so it's double win.
and people don't seem to bother it as the restart is a good sign that the bonus is on effect.
