HOW TO CONNECT TO PRIVATE SERVER:
=====

1. The user has to edit realmlist.wtf file located in WoW client's directory. It should look something like (after editing):
set realmlist your.ip.address.or.dns.address
(set realmlist 127.0.0.1)

or

2. The user has to make a shorcut to WoW.exe file and edit the shortcut. He should add -console to the end of the path, i.e.:
"C:\Games\WoW\WoW.exe" -console
And then during the game in the login screen he should press "~" key (tylde) and then enter"
realmlist your.ip.address.or.dns.address
(realmlist 127.0.0.1)

or

3. The user can use WoW control panel attached to one of the posts. Search for it.

oh, just use 1.0.1 - 1.2.3. there was an mistake done by the one who have written the list of links. This was not my fault.

those first links are crashed you need remove thos the dont work they work only dwnload bud if you wanne play it says it crashet

on the german client, it says on the installer that I need the discs in order to play but it doens't provide the disks but rather just installer tomes, can someone notify people not to d/l the link for boomtown link or if someone has a separate installer can he upload the thing?

This is corrupted, the file sizes arent real and when you try to extract them it gives errors. So please edit your post so others dont go and download this version for no reason. Thanks.

jokersmile, when it asks for you to place the cd in, click cancel and it will ask you if you want to install DirectX. It really isnt DirectX your installing it is WoW. I have had the same problem but I figured it out on my own.

Yeah I dled the torrent from him and I have a major problem... when I try to install the files it asks me to insert CD 2 and well the rar file that came with it had CD1 CD 2 CD 3 CD 4 but I cant actually insert CD 2... So I was thinking do i have to burn the folders onto CDs? and then run them like that? but then another problem occured because the files are 800 mb and I dont have a DVD burner.... Can anyone suggest a way to fix this? or offer me a fast torrent for another client? thanks... BTW there isnt an ISO type of file on the rar i dled

*edit*NM i got it to work I just had to put all the CD folder files into 1 folder =)

Beserked, your prob. is that the game version that you have (1.2.1) isn't the correct version for the private server. You need to update it to at least 1.2.4 and mabye 1.3.0 or 1.3.1 depending on what server you are playing on. To find out what version you need, go to wowstatus.sub.cc and search for your server there.

My Question: I cannot patch from 1.3.0 to 1.3.1 it says that the DB file cannot be patched and it fails. Any ideas?

I need the WoW Client, I can't do Bittorrent because my dad says it slows the network down and I need a direct download and hte ones you got listed are broken :x

either way its still going to slow your network down,

you have to open one of the MPQ file and there to look for the file what are you looking for for changing the interface value.

dunno. I would never go into editing MPQs cuz later new patches could not work.

if i try open Interface/FrameXML/FrameXml.toc i get an error with this file isn't a mpq file but i cant select open with... If someone knows how to fix i will be happy :D

as I have said - patches with such modified version can be useless.

The private server i was trying to play on was running 1.2.1 but nm i downloaded wow again from another place and am going to patch it now and try again.

ok now i got it but i got some problems whit updating....

the wow is vrs 1.1.2 but i tryed the update 1.1.2 to 1.2.1 but it sad it was the rown vrsion can some one help plz

the "Don't Know" client is the English Retail... Or atleast it connects to the english retail servers, Im using it to play WoW official on my friends old acount(he quit and its payed for until July)

Got all the patches I need except for 1.1.1 to 1.1.2 which I can't seem to find.

The client I downloaded was 1.1.0 which I just patched to 1.1.1 and now i'm stuck finding the patch I need, unless theres a patch to take 1.1.1 to 1.3? :)

put that MPQ in the same dir as WOW.exe and run bnupdate.exe (or something like that) in the WoW dir.

you will definitely have problems in the future. it's wow 1.0.0. I don't know any patches for that version. I suggest downloading other copy of the game.
