How do I add a glow color to an item
I used PriTaTor_1.8.857 and tried to add a Glow color to an item .
after I put the number of the color and press save , it just cleared the checkbox and didnt save the color . I tried ingame to see if maybe its saved it and it didn't .
How can I add a glow color to an item then ?
Re: How do I add a glow color to an item
Go Gameserver > OpenItem and choose there a file for example Wyvern Axe (wa121). Open it with an editor and past this code in that file:
//*À¯´ÏÅ©»ö»ó B G R Åõ¸íµµ Á¡¸ê½Ã°£(¹Ýºñ·Ê)
*À¯´ÏÅ©»ö»ó 0 180 255 0 9
After added this code save it and test which color your weapon have.
You can change the color with chaning the number.
Good luck ^_^
Re: How do I add a glow color to an item
It didn't work
I added it to the WA121 and saved and there was no color
Re: How do I add a glow color to an item
I think you may have to drop a new one? Not sure, but might be worth a try.
Re: How do I add a glow color to an item
Ok I found out .
Need to add this code to the item (in Gameserver/Openitem) :
http://img195.imageshack.us/img195/9763/52676111.jpg
1. 255 = Blue
2. 255 = Green
3. 255 = Red
4. 0 = No idea
5. 9 = Glow Speed
Glow Speed : 1= slowest , 9 = fastest .
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
For Example: Blue 255 , Green 255 , Red 255 = White color .
To find out what every color means you need to :
Open "Paint" -> Colors -> Edit Colors > Defind Custom Colors -> Then choose a color and check the Blue , Green , Red of it and instert in the code .
Sorry but I couldn't write the code on the forum because after I write it , it changes the place of the letters :S.
Re: How do I add a glow color to an item
I believe that is what tr1pl3x1 told you to do...?

Yes... because you should read the file in Korean, which neither of you did, and from your image, you clearly use a different character set to tr1pl3x1, which is why I keep pushing for everyone in the world to read Korean config files in the Korean character set!!! ... ... ... Okay, rant over.
Correct reading of Trips example:-
Code:
//*유니크색상 B G R 투명도 점멸시간(반비례)
*유니크색상 0 180 255 0 9
Translation of comment line:-
Code:
//*UniqueColor B G R overlay transparency in the (inverse proportion)
Which I presume means the code *유니크색상 takes the parameters Blue (0-255, 1 byte), Green, Red, minimum glow (0-9?) and maximum glow (0-9).
Is that any help?
--Edit--
I may be reading that wrong, could mean B, G, R, Overlay, Transparency... which is difficult to describe the difference. One would be how much it replaces the detail below, the other would be how much it adds to the detail it's wiped out... but it's hard to describe without seeing it.

How can I read it in Korean character set ?
Re: How do I add a glow color to an item
Good question, and the answer I keep giving is to use MadEdit, or some other multi-codepage capable editor.
Notepad only supports Korean text if the entire OS is set to operate in Korean, or the file is saved in an international UTF-8 or UTF-16 format... which PT won't read. :s
I'm tired of quoting MadEdit so I'm going to try and offer some others.
UltraEdit is a little cludgy and a commercial product you have to buy, but once you understand how it works it is capable of doing it, and it has many many advanced features for a text editor.
Notepad2Doesn't directly support Korean, and definitely doesn't automatically detect and use it the way MadEdit does, but it is free, very much like Notepad, and if you change the default font to "Gulim" or "GulimChi" and the code page for the font to "Hangul" then it displays just fine. Notepad doesn't, and Notepad2s' syntax highlighting is awesome. It's kinda what Notepad should have been from the beginning.
Re: How do I add a glow color to an item
I have downloaded MadEdit .
Tried to use it and that's what happened :

Wierd ?
Re: How do I add a glow color to an item
Is that image mirrored, or does it actually look like a mirror image on screen? Coz I have to say, I've never had it do that to me, even for Right-to-left reading order languages.
Or... Is your default system language RTL reading order? Hebrew maybe?
That file has definitely been internet nerfed before MadEdit got to it, because there should be enough Korean in that file for it to determine the 949 codepage, and it failed to do so with that one... sometimes it does... and our reliance on posts on pages, in MSN and via eMail has spread the problem, but you can force it from the View -> Encoding (and probably, first time around) -> All Encodings menu option.
The fact that MadEdit couldn't distinguish the correct code page means there will be some corruption, but you should be able to fix that by looking (in the right code page) at un-nerfed files.
FYI, your file is OR111.txt, and in your local represented

Close to yours... closer than the original Korean form, but not sufficiently close to pass a code parser.
Code like "*¸¶¹ý±ג¼ת¼ק·Ãµµ" == "*¸¶¹ý±â¼ú¼÷·Ãµµ" will return -1 or False, but they are supposedly the same line, and the same command, just from two systems with a different default language.
So, now you can see how these little problems arise.
---Edit---
It's odd that I can post the Hebrew characters, and they look okay to my untrained eye, and yet earlier you could not.
I have encouraged Mental (the site owner) to keep international language posts valid, for specifically the problem of many Brazilian and Korean texts required here, so they should come through okay...
If specific characters are a problem, it may be worthwhile pointing them out to him.

Or... Is your default system language RTL reading order? Hebrew maybe?
It looks like a mirror on the screen .
And ya my default system language is in hebrew .
How do i fix that mirror ?
sorry for my lame .
Re: How do I add a glow color to an item
Hmm... actually Hebrew is BiDi reading order IINM. I don't have a BiDi or RTL system, so I'm no expert there, I had a hunt around for reading order options and didn't find anything.
It's not a lame question, but I'm afraid I just have no experience with such writing systems in my life. I use Japanese and Russian a fair bit, but Russian is LTR, and while Japanese is RTL on paper, (as in Manga) they also use LTR on computers, web pages and programming... I think they are a people very open to change.
The one BiDi writing system I do use is Norse / Anglo-Saxon Runes, but there is very little digital support for such historic writing forms. I make notes in Runic, and have a couple of Rune fonts for on-screen representation and study. But it's more of a paper hobby.
Fortunately, another group of people very open to new ideas and possibilities are the open source community, which you may notice the developers of MadEdit are a member. I would contact them if it is an issue for you, I'm sure they'd love to hear your input. Developers cannot fix problems they are not told about.
