hey.
I never never used kpt or ept client only bloodpt..upt.. etc
what is the diffrent between them why alot ppl prepare use the ept and kpt
i just downloaded the kpt wich translated by toblish to english
i understand there is an extra in those clients wich is the auto update i try to figure out how to use it by my self but i couldnt lol
i am sorry i asked such a stupid question
so if anyone have some information for me its will very help me

Well the exe file was alredy done when i downloaded it witch had some english in it such as names on npc and such but not the other things like names of towns and quest informations and such. well i hope you enjoy it anyways :)

and there are 2 exe files cause i simply forgot to remove one of them when i tryed them. but i am pretty sure they bouth should work just fine

and its include lvl 150?or i need hex it?
or there is already client that hexed level 150 and no xtrap

I'm not sure but I think kPT lvl limit is 119 and ePT max lvl limit is 109.
Also if you want lvl 150 cap you have to create a new xp table.

Tobblish released a patched client folder... a combination of Korean and English official data files, with Blood(?) client executable.
Updaters & possibly launcher will be left over from kPT or ePT, and will patch back to official version, if they work at all. I haven't checked tobblishs' (say 3 times and repeat 2 times fast:wink:) release out, as I basically gave the information on how to create it, it was nice of him to share the effort of actually doing it though.
No official client (to my knowledge) supports 150, it's a silly maximum level that should come with additional maps, quests, NPCs etc etc, otherwise it only devalues individual levels.
As I say, from my point of view, 150 is a marketing gimmick for Private PT servers, it means you level quicker but can do less with each level up. To make level 150 a practical, useful feature you would need 13x, 14x, 15x maps not present in any other PT, new tiers and quests for them similar to Unzubarus' plan. 120 is the normal max level, and that has only been implemented partially by official PTs, because we should be up to tier 8 by then, and they still only support tier 4. To get to 150 properly you would need tier 11... that isn't ever likely to happen.
i dont want lvl 150..i want 130 i thought about that abit xD then in toblish client its hexed untill wich level?
I'm not sure but if its kPT client just translated in english max lvl is 119.

With those updaters? On the Korean PT web server, overwriting their PT client updates. Obviously.
I know some people have hacked the official launcher to work with their PT, but I don't know anyone who has bothered with the kPT / ePT updater... it's really not very good anyway.
If you want a clue for a different one, I would suggest the Releases section which has 2 or 3, I've seen adapted Maple Story ones that work quite well for PT... and my personal preference would be to use something like adapted Subversion repository, especially if it worked in conjunction with Parkive specification files... because that would stop your haxored Ric sized weapon situation, if you can enforce it's use. :wink:

Well, my present install is looking for updates at http://dl0.subagames.com/updateURL/update.asp so I would have to emulate the response from that site and update the string in the executable there... thing is, dl0.subagames.com doesn't exist any more.
But I'm sure you are capable of searching for a URL in an executable... you are just being lazy. :ott1:

No... that will not do. The updated interacts with an ASP script on ePT or KPTs website, it tells the server what files are installed, and the server checks that against a current set, then it tells the client which files it needs to update and starts passing files too it.
The nicest feature I can see in it is that is passes sound files as .mp3s and the updater converts them to obfuscated .wavs.
But that's why you need to do a closed book reverse engineering of the ASP they have on their updater URL. Because it's not like we can just download the ASP from them, and it's not like anyone has released it. The updater is not particularly nice, and by the time you've figured out how to emulate their update server you could have re-written the updater from scratch and then you could add any feature you wanted.
Again, PAR2 and Subversion are open source, open specification projects, so you can adapt them and build them your self. Maple Story updaters are configurable and don't need any programming at all. To make this work, you need to hack the executable and write a whole new ASP application from scratch and in accordance with a tight specification which is unknown.
I really don't see the point, and I have never seen any other server use these updaters, though I've seen people make their own updater resemble the official one in terms of it's icon and download window. If someone does use these, perhaps you could ask them if they are willing to share their ASP code for it?
