Can't seem to get these released in the correct area, ie: FlyFF area, due to the moderators there thinking that just because these files were leaked, they should be banned, while downloading them for themselves.

I say why continue developping your crappy emulators if there are complete official files to use?!?!?!

I have fiddled around with it...and have spoken to a few people that already have servers up and running with this software...they said this is the same thing....

So in theory...it should work...

the files in the kalonline section are official too. so should that section be closed an the files banned ,there is no emu for it btw thats completed. everyones on about official files should be banned makes me lol. weather its right or not these files are what they are official files that everyones been wanting. now they gotta deal with what comes with using these files.

This are official files, but fame files too, so this files are edit. I think this files must be banned from RaGEZONE

i do agree that these shouldnt of been leaked,but it happens, i also agree that these shouldnt get banned as other games (offcial files) are out and allowed, im thinking they want them banned coz fame had them first but the thing is does fame realy own these files even if they edited them. tbh i fink they scared people will leave fame for other servers. but realy they wont lose members coz if this as the memebers of (server who got them) will probly get same ammout of players and if they did ( remove fames content) the only things they got out of this is ( able to handle more than 50 players with no lag, all skills work,job quests work for master,hero, buff pang, and mobs in right place ect ect. so realy i think this will help others see what they can fix in other emus and stuff but like i said if these files get banned i say ban all other games offcial files then as it wont be fair as they get them and flyff people dont get these.

Sorry, but yes they are.

Official Lineage development still goes on in the section in the archives and, except for the few emulators, ALL the MU server files are leaks from webzen. Official updates are posted on chinese forums then eventually shared here.

woohoo...they executed some db scripts and changed some .ini files....these files were straight from galanet.....they were working when dd got them....

these are v11 files for those that are curious...

Also: Don't try to run these unless you know what you're doing.
It takes a lot of work to add items, maps, and such. Pain in the arseeee.

Probably not a good idea, there is lots going around that if you roll these files out you can expect:

- to get your database dropped
- get your economy screwed by handing out currency
- crashed
- just generally screwed up

There is known exploits/bugs/abuse, much like the caali files, that were placed there by the Fame developers to protect their property. FlyforHero launched these files I think and ended up getting wiped cleaned, no problem.

Another server confirmed the gold hand outs just earlier today to me.

The only way to really make use of this is someone makes a solid anti-hack but then there is probably glaring holes that aren't known.

You dont need the DB really, just call it RANKING_DBF, (create a new DB) u will get some errors from it not saving logs, but beyond that it runs fine,.

you need to create the databases in the name of the .SQL files you got, then execute the scripts to populate the DB

Ill give everyone a small tip... you wont be able to execute the DB as it is unless you have a pimped computer. You have to either clean it yourself (remove all characters and accoutns) or find a clean version somewhere.
Also with the fame DB as it is, you wont be able to run the server properly. You need to perform certain procedures to fix the db.

Oh yeah as far as official servers being illegal on RZ.

Mental can remove DragonRaja then.

I released the missing files for that game. It was the map server we needed I found it years ago and the source files for the server.

DR are official files if real server files are illegal on RZ then that forum better disapear.

And as a matter of fact Mark released the REAL redmoon server files on RZ remove that forum also.

Official files are not illegal on RZ. It only becomes an issue when the developers contact mental and order a section closure like codemasters has done with RF in the past.

Well can somebody please tell Glaphanking (the mod over flyff) cause he has banned these files from there and threatened to ban anyone who even speaks of them....

Just like the caali files..he banned them and actually infracted loads of people for simply asking for help with them....

I mean caalis rev 1...not rev 2 and 3...they were full of trojans but rev 1 was clean as a whistle...and ran good....

How about this? You shut your rant up before you are on the receiving end of infraction(s). Nobody cares about other sections because no other sections have official files stolen from the actual game being EMULATED!

If emulators were illegal then all the console emulators would be outlawed all over the place. Last I checked the emulators were legal as well as the ones here. What is NOT legal is running a server that makes money off the game because its a pay to play.

As for your short sighted answer to WoW. WoW is Pay To Play. So if 10 million people p2p then it makes Blizzard happy and rich.

How many people really play Private WoW servers? Couple thousand total?

How many at one time? couple hundred?

How many can actually be the exact copy of the original? Um, none?

So there is your answer as to why WoW is not doing anything. Its not hurting sales so they could care less. REALITY AT ITS BEST.

Nexon just doesn't want their game emulated at first but now they won't do much.
Habbo hated the idea at first but now its not much a problem.
FlyFF keeps changing all the time making emulation 3 steps behind so they could care less until they start using the Cash Shop to make money.
RO threw a fit when their shit was emulated, and I don't know the whole story just what I read once long ago.

Other than that, I don't keep up to date with many MMO games.


But I have one more thing to say to Monolith. Your days on my section are numbered. No one wants your asshole attitude here and no one else likes it either. Just ask around. If you keep flaming, you will find yourself out of here very quick.

I'm just saying that there have been cleared out databases passed around, but they're not exactly out in the blue.

To answer to the first post :

"Why continuing to create emulator while official file are here" ?

Because with an emulator you can implement new systems and lot of stuff that are not in official + with an emulator you can have all v13-14 system working, you are limited by your file

And finally, contrary to what you think there are a lot of bug and memory lack in those file...we can do better with our emulator and avoid a lot of problem like for exemple where you have a lot of player around and you want to use a skill and it don't work directly you have to push your button a lot of time before skill activated, you have probably experiment this problem in fame...
Well this is a problem due to packet that are not correctly managed, we have done a better system in Morpheus...

So yes use those file ! Go !
but i personnally prefer to have my own emulator to do what i want with it

There are clean versions of the fame db and the official eflyff db.
Ive already set up one with the clean fame db however im still looking for a official v11 eflyff copy of the db so i can start fresh. If anyone has it im willing to show them how to run the fame db and files 100% working in exchange.

The register script needed will depend on the neuz.exe that you use, because it uses a hashed MD5.

Yet it is ethical and moral to use Galanet's client to packet sniff and create his own emulator....go figure.

Enough time for everyone and their mother to get a copy of the files, I'm sure some people can figure out how to work them and others will find somewhere they can get help, even if it's not RZ.

Even if you have a copy, I bet 70% of the people will have NO clue on how to even look at it. It will just rot in their drives until some idiot will release a tutorial.

lol.. the only problem Im having right now is getting WAN users to connect.. I can only connect via LAN. I gotta figure out which IP's I need to edit.. when I change them all, some servers don't start up.

If this was released in FlyFF area...it would have been deleted in less then an hour.....

That's more ethical than using official files since you're not using copyrighted source code.

I dare people to publicly say they use fame files for their private server and see how long it takes for their hoster and isp to slap them with a lawsuit from galanet. You think I'm the only one? You think I'm the only one who thinks this way.

There is an army out there ready to take down fame servers at the push of a button. Deadly has your IP addresses just like caali did when you turn on your servers. Its embedded so far in the code, even the best ASM programmers, which are far and few, will not be able to fix it.

Don't underestimate Deadlydata. He is not your run of the mill scriptkiddy. Far from it. The damn kid is a prodigy at nearly the beginning of his adulthood which I've never came across in the 10 years I've been coding.

So bash me. Call me names. Call me a crybaby because I don't want to share. I don't even have the files. Don't want em. Don't need em. MSSQL is easier than mySQL to set up IMHO, but that's just because I've been taught through MS.

Keep taking the easy road out and you will soon find that your reign of ignorance will be snuffed out by GalaNet.

Don't screw with a multinational company that has more money than you will make in a lifetime. They have an army of attorneys that can make one person an example along with the rest that think they are doing a "cool" thing.

If not...there is someone somewhere better that would be willing to take care of it cheap...

GlaphanKing stop complaining offical server files get leaked alot its a part of life. And you can stop alot of DD attacks aka. your method of shutting down the server. You have to remeber you have to have access before you can access data... Seeing how these things can go offline and may other methods best of luck crashing servers...

Ye olde loopback adapter trick should help servers to start with WAN IP. Just don't forget to check part for LAN players when using it. :P:

I think GlaphanKing will find out nasty details about history of private server scene sooner than he thinks. RZ used to be one of finest examples of it back when I joined.

My point exactly....RZ in the old days before ANY official files were released would have gone apeshit for these files....now people only want to sweep them under the rug and hope people forget about them.

As for Official files, it's not up to us moderators to decide. Usually a higher up will outlaw certain files because of legal pressures we get, like what happened previously with MS.

As for supporting the expansion of this release, go for it. It's a great learning too, and if you play your cards right, you can keep it up and running whether the official company QQ's you or not. Just realized my laptop was on. In other sections, there are official files, so I have no reason to deny the maple users their chance at glory. Hell, if they can use the files, give em cookies! Sections like mine(RuneScape) will never get to see an official server file, so we'll never do it right. Don't worry guys, I feel a strong Moderator smack fest goin' on soon :3
