Well I'll bite the bullet here and go ahead and jump in.

Thanks go to OfficialFiles of RZ for the leak....

And especially Fame and TD for their work on the files.

All I ask is that you:

A) Keep ALL help requests to either the main Help section or (when and if it's created) the Official Sub Forum Help area.

B) Throw TD or Fame some credits somewhere in your project....either on the webpage or somewhere....not only is it the right thing to do simply because these would not be here without them....but it might save your server alot of downtime if they decide to mess with you cause you didn't.....what can it harm? ;)

and lastly

C) If you need help....please use the search feature to make sure your question has not already been answered before creating a new thread.

These files can and will go down the drain as fast as Caali's did if no one has respect for the REAL developers here in this area...they are this areas future...we cannot support an entire area on one set of files forever....so do not beg them...bug them...annoy them for help.....you'll only be making it harder on yourself if you do. I assume if we can show them we respect their work...they might be more willing to OFFER help before we even ask for it ;)


Edit: There is no tutorial yet for these files...so no sense in asking...

I am trying to figure them out myself and when I get it I'll release a tutorial....

BUT if you have them running already...please feel free to make a tutorial....we would greatly appreciate it.

monolith I like your work but i support a hard nosed attitude on this one im never going to download these files( already been hacked by Deadly and dont want them) so i cant help but you should make a guide for this then DONT provide help it only makes the community weaker because leechers KNOW they can get set up here

that would be the worst idea if anyone wants to run these files they should figure it out for themselves and learn something in the porcess of doing so or else it is once again something that will be leeched off

Even with a perfect tutorial...the best tutorial EVER...there will be people asking for help...

But as I stated before...(just an example...nothing meant by this) If Glaphan's V6 project was finished tonight...perfect...no bugs....do you think there would be any less people begging for help setting it up?

heathJ i love the hard nosed attitude but one complete guide and a NO HELP attitude works better like what they did in lineage section the leechers took help questions elsewhere no help at all leads to a swamp of questions that will get answered by somebody

Monolith buy a domain set up on your own host make a website just like what they had at ROSE there will be a central link for the files and for help ( and with a few ads... you will be ROLLING in $$)

i was a little hard nosed, but it is for good reason, i mean i got the files my self a while back (with part DB structures) before the whole fame being hacked fiasco, i took me around 5 days to figure out how to execute the databases and a further 3 days to figure out i needed 3 seperate obdc connections, which is really simple for me now, but the reason i think its so simple is because i learned a lot by figureing it out myself, i doubt it would be such a breeze if i followed a tutorial no matter how simple, as the learning wouldnt be how can i put it obviously people will learn folloing tutorials but you learn more and more efficiently by doing it your self, after that week of fiddling with them when i managed to log in and run around and everything was working i felt quite proud of myself that i had accomplished it by meself i dunno if im a little old fashioned in that respect and approach to life, but i know when you figure out something for your self you get a much better feeling inside that having thinking "oh that tutorial was helpful"

These files are allowed here now. We all had a discussion and they are here on a trial basis...as long as people are respectful and try to figure things out on their own without spamming help threads...

Far as I know the only people really scrambling to get these working are a few of us conversing in PM's with our problems...all for the gain of the area attempting to come together with a good guide....

So far.....at least to my knowledge...no leechers yet...or they are being real quiet and patient ;)

I will test this and see how works xD

I'm interesting because this will be fine when I mount a server with morpheus =D

other thing this is the real? without trojns etc?

if some one can make an tut or just tell me which programs i need ot which files i need to edit, please tell me

You know I wish I had read this part earlier. I take back what I said. I didn't know we share the same ideals for this situation. You support the files, but you also know that people will treat them like the caali server files. You also know that without variety is the death of creativity and ingenuity.

Carry on, people. Maybe one day I might offer more help but for now I want to see where this is headed.

Something to play around with, got sick of jumping from guild to guild so created one myself, bored with that (at the moment) so i suppose i'll give this ago, should be a fun and interesting lesson to someone who has no experience in Sql, let the fun begin! :thumbup:

v14 files will become the new v11.

People shouldn't be making such a big fuss about these.
