Re: Unable to connect
what IP is in the hotuk and what IP is hexed in game.exe ?
checked that both game.exe and server.exe use same port ?
Is it work with 127.0.0.1 ?
-
Re: Unable to connect
i hexed the port..
and the ips are the same.
didnt try 127.0.0.1 because there is no reason that its will work and my normal ip will not
thanks

Re: Unable to connect
Your WAN IP is at the mercy of your ISP... your LAN IP (probably 192.168.x.x) and loopback (localhost, 127.0.0.1) are completely in your control.
If it works via your LAN IP (your router) then you know everything your end is right, and you can complain to your ISP with full knowledge of what you say.
There is never "no reason that its will work and my normal ip will not".

Re: Unable to connect
i dont really got you bro :S
wan/lan/isp i dont know alot about this stuff.
i have only 1 ip because its static and its start like that 79.178...
i dont have 192..
i checked that in http:/whatismyip.com
then what should i do?

Re: Unable to connect
If you don't really understand about LANs and WANs and IPs and stuff, why are you trying to do any of this without taking at least a first stage CISCO course or similar? Isn't that like saying "Well I don't really know about aeroplanes or parachutes, and I don't want to learn about them, but I'm going to jump out of one anyway."
This isn't the place to learn about network management and internet connectivity... take a CISCO or MCSE course or at least read "TCP/IP For Dummies" or some of the excellent on-line equivalents, then you might understand the answers to your questions.
I mean... I don't get it, you are connecting a machine directly into the internet via a modem without any form of gateway between you and the ISP, you have a broadband connection, and you are running Microsoft Windows as your primary OS? Why don't you just set the root password blank and post a web page inviting people to use your PC as a Zombi for their DDoS attacks? Oh... yea, sorry I forgot, SAP and UPnP will do that for you... so... okay... yea... whatever. As my U.S. friends would say "Have fun with that."

Re: Unable to connect
you need to put in the server's hotuk the wan ip and in the game.exe you need to put 127.0.0.1 .
-
Re: Unable to connect
i tried that too..stil not work and the game.exe should have the wan ip adress hexed in there but anyway i tried both of them
its wierd koz
127.0.0.1 work but
WAN ip not work :S
maybe somthing in the ports?if you dont need open any port for run with 127.0.0.1 so i found the problem..
koz opened the ports but i am not sure for 100% that i did it correctly

Re: Unable to connect
Server is constantly trying to connect to it's self? What did Unzu do to it?
And you say you have nothing when you click "login" in the client, not even momentarily? Coz that means it just isn't trying to connect before it tells you it failed.
@tazz007: From what I read, he has no router. But when you are not sure (vague understanding not withstanding) what a router, bridge, gateway, modem, MAC or DMZ are, and specifically and what their relationship is to one another; it's kind of difficult to describe your situation let alone take advise on it.
I think you do need a close friend you trust implicitly who does have some qualification (or Work Experience) in networking to remote login.
But if your client doesn't open a port and send a SYNC before failing to connect?... IDK... you NOPed out the network code? (I doubt you would have done that.) Windows firewall silently blocks the client? Your TCP/IP stack is hacked... err modified, to filter for some other reason? I just don't know from here.
