Microsoft last opening its first store, which marks the beginning of a new strategy in its business model that allows you to imitate rival Apple and seek the same success.
According to the newspaper, the worldwide leader in PC operating systems is putting the finishing touches to a four-story shop in Scottsdale (Arizona ), which opens to the public at the same time as the release of Windows 7, scheduled for Thursday 22 October.
That facility is expected from the sale of computers and laptops equipped with Windows 7, the latest version of its famous operating system, even the possibility of testing its Xbox 360 video game consoles.
Mobile Sales
Mobile phones also will be sold with its software and portable Zunes, Microsoft's competition to the iPod from Apple, will feature spaces where users can find technical help or test equipment.
The newspaper added that the signature of Bill Gates also plans to open a second store in a mall in Mission Viejo (California) in the coming weeks, detailing Microsoft has hired employees from Apple stores.
If these two establishments were successful, the company intends to continue opening more stores, a decision has to do with the success that Apple, the great historical rival Microsoft , is getting to the stores own brand.
With this, Microsoft also could connect better with consumers of technology products, which are increasingly paying more attention to the software manufacturer and they suffered some disappointment with Windows Vista, the latest version of its operating system that, in general, not like in the market, and partly prompted a flight to the Apple Macintosh.
