Edit the Hex values of your Gamserver.exe

[Edit the Hex values of your Gamserver.exe guide]

In this guide you will learn how to edit your Gamserver.exe (where many options of your server hide).

What do you need:

1. Read ALL this guide carefully before you do anything
2. Hex editor (attached file)
3. Mygs Editor (attached file)
4. GS Changer (attached file)

//Using the Hex editor

It's easy, but if not, for you:

1) If you want to search for an address press Ctrl + G, paste the hex addess in the line and press OK

2) If you want to search for an hex string press Ctrl + F, paste the hex string and search for it up and down changing the Direction

3) If you want to replace an hex string press Ctrl + R, paste the hex string you want to replace in the first line and paste the hex string you want to replace with in the second line, make sure that the Scope is from Cursor and not from Begin or it will replace the first string found from the beginning.

http://forum.ragezone.com/images/icons/icon4.gif Tip: After you edit something in your Gameserver.exe, Save the changes in the hex editor, then copy your Gameserver.exe and paste it anywhere so you save whatever you have done with it. If you edit any hex string wrongly, your Gameserver.exe or link8.ink will not run.

Download this Gameserver.exe (attached file) with party zen and 255 potions bugs fixed and all other options by default so you can edit it as you wish, cuz i don't have the hex strings to fix the party zen bug, a friend fixed mine.

Change disguise rings mobs as you wish

You can change the mobs of the disguise rings with GS Changer.

Edit mobs exellent drop rate.

You can change this drop rate with Mygs Editor. Default exellent drop rate is 1/1200, wich means it's almost impossible to get an exellent item from a normal drop. I suggest to change 1200 for 30 or around for fast servers.

2 things you need to know before you use any of this editors:

For Mygs Editor: For some reason, when you put any jewel success rate at 100%, it crashes when you try to write it so put them at 99% or use the other editor (GS Changer).

For GS Changer: You need to run your Gameserver.exe first to use this editor (with Mygs Editor you dont need to run it).

Editors are very easy to use, i dont think you will have problems with them.

Somebody knows to decide this problem:
- Maximum Level of the server is 350.
- Version 0.97D + 0.99 itens.

In the BC, when being in level 350, and finishing quest, I am disconnected from the game and when return, is in level 1000, being that level maximum is 350. How to repair this?
This happens with all chars that they are in level 350.

They forgive me for the horrible English, I am using translator (Babel Fish).

well, that's about what I have so far... those sequential prices listed might be something to do with the quest levels, or they could be combo prices, or they could be related to the various options/items and the value they carry.. really can't test these myself since I don't have access to a server machine right now :(

To test one of the price values, you could change the value in your GS (or maybe change a section, or 4 or 5, at once, since it could take a while to test EVERY set item for a price change... also, if changing the item level in the Item file on the server changes its selling price in the shop (the amount of zen the shop gives you for that item) then these probably don't affect set items, but may apply to 'special' items such as satan/rena/boks/whatever ;)

anyone who can make up a list of prices for all the special items or test some of these new edits in their server would be helping a lot! :D

enjoy guys, I spent like about 40 hours now wading thru GS code, analysing the file structure (I have over 100 pages of manually structured and sequenced code; I stopped color coding after about the 20th page LOL) God I'm such a nerd :prop:

hope it pays off! (even if only 2 or 3 of these work, it's worth it I guess)

P.S: based on my interpretation of the way the values are stored in the GS, these are the most likely values to edit for the level-6-can-trade-and-whisper value ;) please test if u can! The most likely ones are the ones in bold, but as I said I can't test :( lemme know if anyone has luck with that!! :icon6:

Im not that good with the hexing so could someone fix this for me.

The gameserver.exe i got from this post was suppose to have party zen bug fixed and i tried it and zen bug is still on, the potion bug is fixed but not zen bug. If someone could do that for me i'd appreciate it.

i want To change the jewel rate's there are now 100% all soul,jol.chaos machine
and i want to change it to normal so i tryed GS Changer and when i change it
the soul allmost fail every time :( so that realy sucks and when i did with hex

hey i got a problem. when i try to use soul on an item wif luck its not 100%, but with no luck its 100%. how come? i use the GS_changer not mygs and at the soul success part i put all to the right side. help please!

EDIT: Also, while using the hex editor to edit jewel success rates, e.g. for soul success rate the string is 32 right? so i press ctrl+f then key in 32 and enter..but then there are so many strings which are 32..whcih one do i edit to become 00 to make 100%?

run hex editor, open gameserver.exe but...
i cant enable replace function or other functions in Hex editor..
how to do it???
i press ctrl H.. nothing happens....
btw, i used the gameserver attached above, but it cant fix party zen bug...
i use muserver 97
plz help or send me the fixed gameserver one..

I dream for that editor but for 1.02N server GSs 0.99.88T and 0.99.96.
