[TEXT] WoW Micro-Transactions

In-case you missed it, which really is only possible if you were living under a rock or had something else going on, yesterday's news was some of the largest out of WoW this year. Blizzard is now allowing you to purchase in-game pets for real life money through the Blizzard store. There are two pets, pictured about, available for sale now. The Pandaren Monk and Lil K'T'. Both pets cost $10, and the Pandaren Monk will see 50% of its sale price go towards the Make-a-Wish foundation (for the remainder of the year).

Interesting, what do you guys think about these?

Don't they make enough money already? ...

This isn't entertainment, this is more or less Game News. So this should really be in gaming hotspot.
Re: [TEXT] WoW Micro-Transactions
When I read "50% of its sale price go towards the Make-a-Wish foundation" I said, hey, atleast they're doing something good, and then I read "(for the remainder of the year)." and thought. Yeah, of course.
I don't see why people would pay $10 bucks for the pets, I see no care for them. I never use mine, nor care to get anymore.

Well, they are vanity pets and the probability of this being limited edition might be true. Take our your super-uber-awesome-pet and show it off, is what most people believe in. "Hey! That's a cool pet!" I have heard some people are actually just buying the pets to donate, deeming it a "win-win" situation.

World of Warcraft section please.
Re: [TEXT] WoW Micro-Transactions
I don't get that. Why would someone buy these pets. I hope they won't make items for sell which makes you stronger...
Re: [TEXT] WoW Micro-Transactions
People are donating, and in return, getting a small token of love from Blizz.
