Help pls. i got error on SQL Linked server and WinsCP Centos

1st i've created all the DB that needed in cabal, and it was successful, but when im on creating New Linked Server this error appears ----->>>>>

2nd is installing VMWare and running CentOS from ^Fix^ was successful.
but when i was ready to run WinsCP this error appears---->>>>

then ive tried to change IP of the one of VMWare connection to
192.168.2.2
then i run again WinsCP this error appears----->>>>

pls help me with this errors:*:
i really want to play cabal with no internet connection needed,
and i believe even when my LAN is unpluged(no internet connection)
i can also play cabal cant afford to pay Internet connection
every month so pls help me :laugh:

Why are you changign the IP addresses on the vmware adaptors??? No guide here says to do that as it is completely unnecessary and completely wrong. When you install vmware it knows how it should be configured and will configure itself correctly. The only thing you need to change is the network type on the virtual machine (use "bridged" if you are on a LAN, NAT if not). Unless you can remember what the original settings are you will need to reinstall vmware.

Set the virtual machine networking to bridged and that is literally all you need to do.

i reinstall my VMWare ro restore its default IP,

but whem i use WinsCP it always get error...

In centos type "setup" and make sure that network settings are on auto. Reboot centos and then type "ifconfig" to find out what ip address it pucked up and then try using "ping" on windows to see if you can ping the centos address.

I notice your LAN adaptor is unplugged, is that normal? If you check "ipconfig" on windows does your main (i.e. non-vmware) connection address start with 192.x or 10.x or something else?

yes u are right it was unplug,
just waht i say i cant afford to ahev an internet connection in house.
i just go to internet shop to reply on this forum :)

Try what i said about leaving centos on auto settings. You could also try setting the virtual machine to use "host only" network instead of bridged/NAT as that should create a connections directly between you and centos.
