[Guide] How to create map

Step 1 - Login in game and take the position that you want to put your map();

Step 3 - Stirring the Executable ();
1 - Open your server.exe with Olly and look for the map that you want to replace.
In my case I'm using the server's Chinoca loco (Spcute), I'll put this map that I just
create in place of my map that he could not put (field 47).

And... Off topic... You make Operating Systems? What from scratch? Or you just build Linux and BSD kernels from source that you modify?

I've always wanted to write a 32-bit x86 OS that just starts a BASIC interpretor and command line editor... just like Home Computers from the 80's. :drool: I can make the Basic interpretor, and access the BIOS from a bootblock from a floppy (or CD in floppy emulation) but that's still in 16bit mode... how I jump the CPU into Extended mode, and still access the BIOS I'm not at all sure. Lots of tricky stuff in Kernel development... especially when you start without even a Kernel image loader. gj

Hello, I already created 4 operating systems, and of course I'm starting from scratch, I am not based on Unix or Linux.

I already created a converter of SMD, was with him that I was able to convert the map pillai, and see how it worked the system of the map. So I could understand how to create maps:)

I can boot FreeDOS32 and replace the command line with my own. The point is to create an OS that actually works like the old 8-bit systems on 32-bit hardware, giving supervisor mode over to a really simple human readable high level language with modern OS APIs that are designed to be accessed from a language like BASIC, not the Unix C paradigm.

Maybe LUA would make more sense, but I'd just like to see how well you could write Filesystems, Partitioners and so on in tokenised symbolic interpreted programs. How much good stuff could you fit on a emergency recovery floppy? Thanks to the economy of BASIC a ZX81 could do a heck of a lot with 1K RAM.
