Guys.. i m old player .. I played now 7 years Pristontale ... and i created self a server .. but i closed him.. was to much to fix alone ... and now.. im here and will u guys give my help on ur server about GameMaster or fixing bugs..

Hiya nice to meet you im Anthony ive just started a new server 3days ago i didn't know the first thing about private servers so im fairly new but i learn fast atm the server is dedicated on a high speed server i would love for your help and to CO run this PT and learn a lot from you and hear your ideas ect and maybe show you a thing or 2 :) do you have instant messenger? the server is up and ready to log on now although i would like to change to a new server/client although I'm having trouble so your expertise would be greatly appreciated

Why would you add a new monster in Hex?
The monster configurations are in EUC Korean text files, their shapes are 3D Studio ASE files, their textures are TGA and BMP images and their effects are text based files either containing particle information or LUA scripted effects... sure, you could create all of those in a hex editor, but it would be quicker and safer to use the appropriate programs for creating and editing such files.
A hex editor is a last ditch attempt to modify a file IMHO, and should only be used when no other tool exists.

well i mean with "add new mob to map" to add a NEW mob Like RPT Hulk zombie.
i have the files, on my char\monster folder, but i wan to know how to add taht NEW mobs to my client, and spawn it on any map, or with ~/monster command
That is what I'm answering.
It's no different to any existing mob. Except you need the artwork in the client.
so, i if want to add that "Hulk" i need to replace the existing one,?
or i can insert the two Hulks, Zombie and original one.. ?
Hmm... The client has a list of meshes it matches with the server... but the config files also specify a .ase file for the monster.
You may get away with adding a new monster, but if you have to hex the mesh lists, you would either have to replace an existing mesh, or move the mesh list... I don't think it would come to that, but you never know with PT.
I think there are some monsters whose meshes are not listed in the exe, which is why I don't think it would be necessary, but I've not actually added a new one, only altered ones that already exist... made new bosses out of old mobs etc.
