The simple truth about v14 files.

First off, I would like to say I adore "leechers". No sarcasm. They help a private server community develop, no matter what people say.

Now, the files CAN be found if you look hard enough. This alone takes a lot of effort, and I'm not sure if anyone has successfully pieced them together correctly. You're only going to be able to find undeveloped copies of the v14 beta initial leak.

THESE ARE VERY, VERY, VERY BUGGY.

Unless you know a FUCKTON about developing Flyff, you have zero chances in getting a relatively stable server going. As I'm a GM for DemonFlyff, I saw first hand how true this is. On the very first test server, it was an ungodly slaughter by the bugs and glitches. I'm not dissing leechers, I'm just stating the simple truth.

Now, as far as the buttrape factor goes for using these files (like v11 Fame files -> not the best idea), it's relatively safe in my opinion. The initial hackers/main leaker won't rage into oblivion and hack your server. At this time, the only real threat is from other v14 servers who frankly don't want the competition.

The v14 servers that are currently online (I'm not advertising, I'm just stating the simple truth), the most bug-free ones that are worth noting are DemonFlyff or iFlyff. I know Mica at iFlyff is beastly, but DemonFlyff also has anonymous beastly devs. As I'm making this thread, I can say that the two are pretty balanced. Both servers have most of the kinks worked out. Fame has the files tucked away somewhere, but I'm not sure if they plan on going v14. KingdomFlyff stole their files from MonsterFlyff, but they're stable now. There are a few German servers I believe, but I'm too nab to look into those.

For a while, everyone will rageface at any threads asking for help with v14 files. I would gladly help all of you if I could, but I don't know squat ;_; I recommend that if you have any problems, tread (or should I say thread) VERY lightly and try not to look like too big of a leecher. Glaphan will probably just lock any thread asking for help, big meanie buns :( If you don't know anything like me, just sit back and wait for a while. Won't be long till better releases and an actual tutorial is made. If you're new to this stuff, try working with the official v11 files. They're very similar and once you know those, you'll be able to work with v14 when a not-so-messed-up release is made.

I urge everyone with a decent knowledge of Flyff developing to work on these files and make releases as often as possible. It's amazing that private servers are ahead of eFlyff, and it makes me giddy at how much Gala-Net is undoubtedly raging.

Why do you even bother, the users can see themself is v14 is good enough for them or not. There are NO 100% working servers, it's as simply as that, and most likely, there never will be a 100% working server, bugs exist in everything.

And your advertiseing alot about demonflyff in this thread, saying something like "... well noone of the servers is as good as demon flyff ..."

Oh, on a side note, if the files are that buggy, then the hoster probably never set it up correctly.
Ive tested these files, with the correct setup of database, it pretty much works like it should.

- Secret room works
- Siege, 1vs1 works (same as v11)
- Rainbow race works
- Lord works
- Tax works
- Couple system works
- Housing system works

All the v14 features works...

If your just trying to get attention for something, your most likely gona fail with these kinds of threads.

The files were released for the people who want to test it and make a server of it, seems like some of the people here defend the files to the max, to decrease the usage of it, when it really isn't bugged.

I assume, you were never here when every server was using Caali's rev 1.

The files that are released publically are only slightly buggy. The main problem with v14 is the database. It is really not that hard to reconstruct the database.

To me this thread just sounds like 'hey look at us we have a complete v14 server fully functional and you dont and dont even try to because they are VERY VERY VERY buggy'

They're actually not so buggy at all. We got a fully stable server running with about 200-300 players daily. There are just some dialogs of npc's missing, wich can be made by yourself. That's the only 'bugged' part in our server. Everything else works like a charm. You just gotta know what you're doing... Thanks to a few people we got pretty far with it. The only bugged things are the brooms and board, so we deleted them all and putted a working one it. Isn't that nice? So the quote above is just bullshit if you ask me..

2nd) funkynicco, first you say they're really messed up and how they'll never be 100% working, then say how all they need is a working database... Failed attempt to troll at all sides.

3rd) Mohanddo, again, not everyone tries underhanded methods to get ahead. I'm just simply posting this for the "leechers", that are making Glaphan flip a shit over lately, trying to explain things. Not everyone is going to be able to set these up. Sure, a person who knows what they're doing could eventually get them working, but not everyone.

This whole thread does not help anyone. Everyone here already knows v14 files are buggy and that they need a full database. You didnt need to write a whole page to explain that. Btw we are not trolling we are

Sooo to sum it up, basically you saying
~ you adore leachers
~ people are able to find the files
~ people need to have a "FUCKTON" ammount of knowlenge to work on the files
~ you saw alot bugs as a GM
~ something concerning arses and pservers
~ most bugfree pservers are DemonFlyff and iFlyff
~ a quick pserver history
~ flyff section @ ragezone facts
~ call everyone to develop the files

I don't see what you guy's problem here. It's like if you have put all the threads of this section onto one (big nice target for flames too). Nothing unusual.
