Goth vs Emo ?

Ok well i dont mean to discriminate to anyone but

i honestly dont know the big difference between Goths and Emos

There basicly the same right?

Both where black (always)
Both want to die and what not...

so whats the big difference?

I wouldn't say emo's want to die... the definition of emo is emotional, people who are more emotional than others.

And..
The Goths were a heterogeneous East Germanic tribe. The historian Jordanes claimed that the Goths arrived from semi-legendary Scandza.


I hate society today.

I think Emos are happy/gay Goths.

Emo was originally a music category (emotionally hardcore) and not a teenage stereotype. It wasn't till a bit more recently that kids have started calling themselves 'emo' (type of shorthand for emotional) and thus turned it into the stereotype and insult that it is today.

Goths (Gothic) are people that typically dye their hair black, where black clothes and nail polish. And most of the time revolve around depressing poetry.

If you live in America, wait till you get to High School and you'll see.

Remember that dude with the blonde hair and was so preppy? Yeah, he'll be wearing eyeliner, his hair will be dark (black) with an occasional red here and there, and on top of that he'll paint his nails.

Rofl yea that's what happened to this kid in my school.
Kid was blonde, and then next year, he dies his hair black, and wears eyeliner and crap, but no one really gives a shit, well atleast I don't.

Labeling people based on how they look or act is wrong, Just because someone looks a certain way, it doesn't mean they're following someone else, its people like you who label them into that category, and I bet you have a label too.
